And if LSU wins over any State team they can have more of an impact than that

No, I'm not saying get rid of Tuscaloosa completely. There is plenty of manufacturing, industry, technology, that is not based on retail and tourism and any benefits from the football that contribute the main amount to the states economy.

What? We have gotten past the fact that yes a loss is worse than a win.

On to the point of how much does it really affect the economy because you said that's why you pull for the state teams. It's so minimal I argued that it doesnt even really matter. Guess what...I was right. It is so minimal. Less than 1 percent.

Sorry I did bad math, it's 1%. My bad lol forgot to multiply by 100.

Still insignificant to the entire state. As previously stated. A lot.

Compared to the more than 150 BILLION. No it's not. And that's both schools. So cut those in half. And only 250 million from Alabama in total? Cut that number down to football and it's even less!!! That's such a small number!!

am I reading this correctly, we’re arguing that losing 2.5B incoming would not affect the state. Sure the state wouldn’t crash or go bankrupt, but it would be a major ordeal for a business like that to leave.

1% is a huge number for a state.

1% is a huge number for anyone’s portfolio. You don’t know what could be done with that 1% what kinda cutbacks a state may have to make because of that 1%.

Your first statement is redundant so maybe you should read, you didn’t need to use both entire and whole :p

Oh yeah? 81% of the states economy used to be slave labor. Guess what...when it went to 0% the economy thrived and grew even more. Dont tell me a percent makes that big of a difference.

Nope you're not right it affects the state that was my point from the beginning. So for someone to want LSU to win offers little to no help to Alabama. That was my point. A penny is a penny you throw out Alabama's contribution to the state and all the ones that are equal to or less than according to you don't mean anything. Imagine if you added up all those little bitty contributions. Point being Alabama football helps Alabama out of State football doesn't come close

You know why it thrived bc now slave owners were forced to pay for labor. Of course an economy doesn’t strive when no one has money to spend.

Maybe you should discuss how big 1% of funds being taken away from the state would affect Alabama with your financial advisor.

Maybe you should check out alabamas economy and how much the automotive industry brings in compared to your previous Alabama football before comparing it to Toyota. That statement earlier proved you dont get it.

Scotty you have Twisted this every possible way you can. My point is every bit of Alabama income affects Alabama no matter how big or how small. There is no way an out-of-state team winning can generate more money for the state of Alabama than Alabama does

Who ever would like to join a few financial forums to discuss how big 1% of a states total gross revenues is definitely should.

We also have forums on here where people discuss financials. It’s not Dave Ramsey BS that’s mainly for those careless with funds though.

I read that. If you look at my numbers earlier that's what those are also matched up to. An insignificant amount, again. IF ONLY THAT PROGRAM DISAPPEARS, JEFF. Sorry, but 2.5billion loss in economy is not sending the state of Alabama into any worse of a position than it's in now. Period.
