This is why some dealers suck. If they quoted you a price and it was wrong, they should honor the priced. They made a mistake you didn't. I do subcontracting on the side from my regular job. If I qoute a price on a job, that's the price weather i screwed up the estimate or material. Why don't the dealers do this???

call all of the Toyota dealers within 100 miles. Maybe they will give you a rental while the work is being done.
what service are you having done on the 4x4? If its a transfer case drain and fill, just do it yourself. Its really really easy! That will prob save you $50-$100.

Not a bad price but you could probably save yourself $80 - $100 doing it yourself. It'll take you a couple hours tops.

IMO I would take a weekend and do the supercharger install yourself. I dont think it would be too hard. Look how much money that would save you and then you would have the satisfaction of having done it yourself. Then just take it somewhere and have it tuned or order a flash tune or whatever you do for these trucks. Just make sure your get it tuned before you go WOT

its an easy install...save the $$$ and just do the install yourself...i've installed 2 trd s/c already...took us about 5 hours...can't wait to install a s/c on my truck...:D

you could use that same money to invest in a APR X-1 that way you don't have to flash your ECU for the new injector sizes and s/c...if you do flash your stock ecu and decide later down the road to sell the truck you will not be able to part out the s/c unless you buy a brand new ecu...once the stock ecu is flashed by toyota for the s/c there is no reflashing back to stock calibration...its only $1200 and well worth the price IMHO...

I got the X-1 and am about to purchase a trd s/c...being n/a the x-1 is definitely worth it just in throttle response improvement alone...

You can but it might run like crap due to the larger injectors. Also make sure you stay out of boost. It could go lean and go pop!
Does the stock MAF work with SC or will it peg? I added 6psi to my cobra and it pegged the MAF.

hold up. You only have one box?

Maybe what they were trying to tell you is you didnt buy the fit kit. Thats in a separate box and has the intercooler inside it.

Thats something like $400. Either way they are trying to rip you off, but perhaps that is what they were trying to tell you.

the dealer was also trying to tell me that the intercooler was a replacement for the radiator that the trd kit is just a supercharger and no intercooler i had something else they said thats when i took my truck and left.

Call up URD and talk to Gadget. He can get you the X1. Good luck.

dealer is clueless. the fit kit comes with a new intercooler and it's mounted in front of the stock radiator.
