TW, ever since I installed my lift there is a crazy loud squeak when I turn my steering wheel any direction.

I’ve checked all bolts and everything is torqued properly; UCAs were also greased before instal.

Anyone in the Bay Area willing to meet up and help diagnose my issue? I’ll buy the beer.

Does it happen during any turning scenario? Just at full lock? I was thinking maybe power steering pump? But that should still be good as you drive a 2019..

Anytime I turn the wheel is makes the sound. It is more of a metallic/hard surface squeak compared to a PS pump sound...if that makes any sense.

No I gotcha. Sounds more like something is rubbing. Possibly your skid plate?

Long shot and I'm not sure how, but tie rods contacting a coilover or something like that?

Does the frequency of the sound change if you turn the wheel faster or slower?

That’s what I was thinking too, possibly something rubbing on uca or tie rods, coils, or sway bar.

Could it be the brake dust shields on the rotors.

Sway bar rubbing? Try disconnecting it, its a simple test and not critical for a test drive.

Had the same problem. Turned out the bushings on the upper control arms love grease more than I thought.

depending on what ucas you have. you grease after install not before. its the thing you do before you tighten the nut

Checked skid plate - seems to be clear of any rubbing there.

The frequency does get a little higher when I turn the wheel faster. It almost sounds similar to the leaf spring squeak.

    OME BP-51s with Icon UCAs.

I’ll give that a shot. If this is the case, it’s probably bc the OME BP-51 kit has your relocate the sway bar.

I’ll pump more grease into the zerks right now!

Not enough to have a build thread.
Loosen the bolts before you grease!

Added more grease today with no success in deadening the sound.

Upon further inspection, it seems the noise is coming from the UCA uniballs....specifically where the tapered pin inserts into the spindle.

Any advice on how to remedy this?

Tri flow. Theres a lube specifically for the uniballs.

Next time give details on your lift. I would have said uniballs to begin with if I knew you put different uppers on.
