Installer dropped one of the window wiper caps and it got lost. He borrowed one off another employees 4 runner. She was pretty cool about it.

Technically yesterday but I didn’t get home till late last night so forgive.

 

Picked up new license plate LED lights on eBay. Extremely bright!

 

Damn, do these rattle and clank when you drive on bumpy roads?

 

I’ve been looking at those, for sure gonna go that route when I replace the bumper.

Fairly productive day today.

I bought a new toolbox yesterday because my old one was overflowing, and I moved the excess from the old to the new.



Afterwards, I tried installing a new stereo, but I need a different dash kit to make it fit. What I need ships from China, so it may not got here before I move with their standard shipping. I'm in contact with the seller to see about faster shipping options.

Next was checking the wiring of my PLX gauges and MAP-ECU3. I got the gauge that wasn't working going and the MAP-ECU3 wiring is correct, so I must have a setting wrong that's keeping the cruise control from working. I didn't bother dragging my laptop out to check it.



Last was installing a Dakota Digital SGI-5E speedometer calibrator. I ran out daylight, so I'll work on finishing that in the morning.

 

FINISHED!!! They are in no way perfect, but they look so good! Super happy with the all black paint and white shrouds. The white shroud hides the halos when they are off. Only bad part is the paint I messed up that you cant tell unless you look very closely, and the lenses arent perfectly clear. Make the wiring as nice as I can but nobody wants to see pictures of that.

 

Might get some hate for this but I installed some Tacomabeast 2012-2105 version LED projector units. I think they fit the truck better and it was top quality product.

 

Wow, those are nice, gonna have to find them, just painted tintable bedliner on it and those would look nice and fresh, Ebay you say?

Yeah, I changed mine at 30k and they looked fine. I'm going a little longer on this set. Maybe then when I change them, I'll feel a little improvement!

 

Check this out. Spring is here, took the day off work and gave the truck some love. Steamed cleaned the entire underside, and hit it with some thick epoxy paint. Added some BAMF skids, a little more trimming, and a few more hits to the pinch weld. The dog also hung out with me all day. More to come. Take care Brothers.

 

Truck looks good man! My truck pretty close, going to install 5100’s with 885 springs soon want to be a bit higher in front. Got a bit more lift from the Dakar’s then I expected.
