Well I have parted with my first new vehicle the SR. I thought I would hold on to that thing till
the wheels came off, yet the lack of space for passengers began to bother me as it is my only vehicle. I was at the owe/ pay off margin, so figured it was the indicated time to make a move...
The only option of coarse was a 6 spd manual so ended up with a sand TRD OR. I liked the simplicity of the SR, hence ,my initial choice. Figured it would be the most reliable. Yet most of the vehicles I've owned were older and high mileage, and if I kept those road worthy , I don't see why I couldn't do the same for the new 6. Kinda cool , never had a 6 cyl before, only an 8, and other 4s.

Thanx, at first I was skeptical about the trade, but so far it definitely feels like an upgrade

Very nice, must feel like a rocket ship in comparison!

Just curious, how does the V6 clutch pedal throw compare to the 4's, similar distance?

Ya the 6 gets goin where the 4 would just rev @3500 +. I like the clutch actuation, some speak of changing it up on the 6 but I like it, it's a shorter pedal press by comparison. The transmission, well my friend much more refined than the 5 speed. My 5 speed felt notchy from second to third and 5th felt like a distant throw. The six has no notchy feeling and every single throw feels like a short throw in comparison to the 5spd. The only detail that hangs me up a bit is the reverse. I just have to get used to it, its positioned like the first but to shift into it, you kinda go down into second and left into reverse. At least that's how I could best describe it, no biggy just gotta get used to it. I still think of my SR it's still a bitter sweet feeling, but the interior space was just lacking for me.

ha - I had not heard that one before:rofl:, I think this sand color is kinda under dog, though I must admit I was looking for a cavalry blue.

I find that the easiest way for me to get into reverse is to "smack" it from neutral past the gate, then up to R. Other than that, enjoy the truck, my truck has been amazing for the last 46k miles.

Looks like you enjoy your truck, I like how the TRD skid plate contrasts with the QS, I'm adding one to the santa list

Thanks Rob, been seeing a lot of your posts in the QS thread. Keep up the good work. I too got the TRD PRO15 Bilsteins, just might wait a while before putting them in this one. Had them in the SR
