I just put a one up post on my bike, looks amazing, easy to set up, and won’t break the bank. It doesn’t come with a cable or lever but those can be had for not too much. So far it’s amazing

Thanks. I've heard good things about OneUp, and you are correct about the $$$ involved. With REI 20% off coupons a full OneUp setup would be right on par price wise with the CrankBrothers.

My main question is; Is the extra $70ish worth it to go with the OneUp/CB (~$210) vs the Brand X (~$130)? Or meet in the middle by going PNW/KS (~$170)?

I have a Reverb on my other bike. I don’t have any experience with the other droppers but I think the reviews are good

Did some mtb training. Gaining more and more confidence in steep technical descents.
Also, my temporary setup until cbi bike rack comes.

I have three OneUp posts. One 170mm and two 150mm. They work flawlessly. I have had several other brands. These have been the most reliable so far.

My wife and I both have KS posts. After they both failed when nearly new, and fixed under warranty, no questions asked, no cost to us and even loaner posts from our LBS, they have worked flawlessly for almost 4 years now. I’d buy another with no hesitation. And we ride a lot.

I have the BrandX external version since last year. So far no issues. Had Giant Connect Switch for a couple of years before that on another bike as it was just under $200 at the time and had no issues summer or winter either. Had 2 Reverbs before that I would not recommend to my biggest enemy. So far I've only read good stuff about OneUp and PNW droppers.

Remember that huge list of chores I had? I guess it’ll be there tomorrow cause this horse needed to run. First ride of 2019! Damn it feels good to be in shorts and sweating again.

I had the same dilemma a few months ago.
My reverb needed rebuilding, so I went PNW route.
For some it could be a bit slow.

Nice. Jealous of your location. I was up there for work some at the end of last year. Would love to end up there at some point

Got out of work later than expected today...

Decided to take my middle daughter out, and get some miles on the bikes, instead of the lead sled...
She got the first scratch/semi-crash out of the way early(not to be out-done, I added to it a little while ago, went full dumbass after a few)......
She caved about 3/4 of the way up this climb.... I peer pressured her into finishing it before we turned back...
First ride of the year.... so needed it.

    And for @Bkups

This is my @KB Voodoo bars
Plenty of room to move them outboard a bit, and add a pod, or even another bike....
    Easy on, easy off...20190330_171847.jpg 20190330_171908.jpg 20190330_172059.jpg

Did more riding but with more experienced riders. Descending is so so so fun. No kidding about pushing the bike it gets easier.

So who loves their bike mount setup? I just got back into a 2019 Tacoma. Had a 2014 TRD Sport, upgraded to a 2017 Tundra Off-Road, but I just don't need the space. So here I am with a 2019 Tacoma TRD Double Cab Sport and a Santa Cruz Bronson, Kona Process 153, and a Specialized Stumpjumper ST. I typically haul all 3 or even a 4th. I'd like them all in the bed or using trays mounted to cross-bars. If there was a way to use the existing Toyota bed sliding hooks that would be great. Looking for what people really like before I sink money in something that sucks.

    @Home_Dresser see below.

Plenty of room. I dont use trays, as being able tp pull the bars fast is is a major consideration for ME.

With trays, you would have more freedom of placement, and you could have 2 forward, 2 back, etc.
And they do mount to the tracs.
