NMO mounts are usually for HAM + commercial + race radios. Most CB's I've seen use a PL-259 connector.

I like the regular BD design. The KC cyclone version actually looks better IMO, but I still would rather run the BD version.

I'm in for the BD w/o NMO.

Yeah, AC is the same as 2nd gens... which is why I don't have one on mine yet.

So do you know if it COULD fit a CB antenna? I've been considering putting a CB in mine but I don't really want the antenna at the back of my truck and not sure I want it on my ditch light bracket either though if someone has one here let me know how it works pls :)

Looks like there are a few NMO CB antennas. But definitely pretty scarce.

If it were my (and my opinion only) I'd pay my $15, take my HAM test, and leave CB in the stone age where it belongs.

Off course, if your regular wheeling group all has CBs...then you have a bit of a conundrum. Of keep your CB on the ditch mount, and pick up a HAM as well.

I've only got one Tacoma owning friend who I've gone wheeling with... And he refuses to do any real mods to his truck so I doubt he'll ever put a radio of any kind in his truck... I just wanted a CB to be able to talk to others with CBs but you're right... maybe I should just get a CB antenna for the ditch mount and get a HAM license as well... do many people use HAM these days though? The only person I know who had one was my grandfather before he passed and my aunt who's older then dirt lol I'm in Atlantic Canada and I'm not sure if HAM is used here much at all... I'l look into it though and there is a radio club on the base I work at so I can talk to someone there about it, thanks for your reply :)

We almost exclusively use HAM in most of the groups around here, plus it is just generally more useful for the vast distances here in UT and the west in general. The east coast of USA/CDN is very active in the HAM world. It does seem that the Canadian HAM world is a little trickier to get into, based on the lack of clear information when I was doing some research. We have a forum thread on here that you are welcome to come visit in:

Nice work Meso. I'm in for a BD version. Didn't see them on your website.....are you accepting orders for these yet? Is the plastic UV stable (for longevity)?

I really want running lights with the red KC Cyclones.

@mesojdm can you PLEASE provide guidance as to which PWM (pulse width modulation) to purchase or how to wire in a resistor?

I found this PWM, but I am not an expert or a risk taker with automotive electronics: https://www.diodedynamics.com/2a-led-pwm-dimmer-with-bypass.html

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Yeah the DD PWM’s with great. If you’re only doing 2 cyclones off it, you could get away with 1(2A max). Red wire would go to the stock brake input, and white to a running light or IGN circuit. You can adjust the brightest on the PWM. I think glowing running light rings would match the tails rather well on a 2nd gen
