Install was very straight forward like the morimoto xb. The light output far exceeds the white Morimotos but it feels like there is a lot more bleed than a fog lamp should have. Quite surprising but it gives you a broad field of illumination vs a clean cut off. Road signs really glow yellow and stand out. The color is fantastic for that. I aimed them with the primary cutoff at the same point as the morimotos which were aimed dame as stock.

    DRL and fogs

DRL only. Note lack of illumination on trees

    HID lows with fogs on.

yeah, Mine sit high due to the bumper, and They are bright. I really like them, and use them as often as i can when driving at night. I do turn them off when approaching other vehicles tho

Those are not fog lights. They aren't designed to be street appropriate fog light replacements by any stretch. These are equivalent to full on "pod-style" offroad lights that Baja Designs managed to put in the stock fog light location.

Depends what your intended use was. If you wanted fog lights then yeah maybe so. Probably an easy sell if you want to get into something else. However, for offroad use they are exceptional.

    stock ish
    Word.
They have different pattern lenses that provide varying illumination patterns.
There is a combo/ driving lense but i can’t say I’ve stumbled upon anything confirming the lights themselves being street legal.

From their light zone diagram the driving combo doesn’t look much better

Being in SoCal unlikely to have anyone say I can’t use them. They’re not so obnoxious as to get LEO attention and to get pulled over.

I have the "driving lens"- still throws light too high to be road safe IMO. I run mine in rain, fog, or snow but only during the daylight hours when they arent gonna blind someone. At night switch them off for the benefit of those around me unless it's like full on monsooning and I actually need the visibility

I have a set and I haven't been able to use them at all, they are moe of a decoration piece on my truck more than anything. They are just too damn bright no matter how much I point them down to be driving in a populated area.

Keep these. They’re making street use approved ones. They said you can send them yours and they’ll fix them to where they’re street legal just not sure when. Check out the Baja thread for more info

I love my Bajadesign lights. Super bright, which is exactly what I wanted. Lots of fog here in spring, typically morning, great they are bright.
Driving at night in construction zones/areas when concrete barrier walls, lots of slight curves etc, lights are a life saver.
Driving at night out in the country, awesomenous!
