Superbads Boring Build and not Enough Exploring

Not that I know of. Just stating it since I'm not low mileage. If I was under 36k it might be covered under warranty since my trucks still under 36 months old.

 

Never updated last week but the brake leak ended up being the rear passenger drum cylinder exploding inside and the drums were both warped. Rear passenger got a full rebuild and new drums and pads for both sides. Kinda crappy way to spend $600 and took the brake shop almost 6 hrs but there was no way I wanted to attempt to do the drums in the parking garage at work and I didnt want to have the truck towed all the way home and do it in the driveway either. I really hate working on drum brakes. To get it out of the parking garage I filled the fluid and drove it to the guest lot. There was large brake fluid drips leading to the new parking spot and withing a minute a huge puddle under the truck. I really do feel lucky that I even made it the last 2 or so miles to work from when the dash lit up. Never grabbed pics of how much was left in the parking garage but heres the guest lot spot after my truck got towed off.

I had forgotten about that. Hopefully this repair lasts longer than the original. Cant believe it went bad so early, drums should last longer than 55k.

Not sure yet. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks. Need to get an alignment and order a new tire. Between my breaks going bad and my alignment getting off my front tires are in rough shape. All happened while I was laid off so I didnt really have money to get it all fixed at that time.

 

Cant wait to see them, will be a while before I get tires for mine I think. Color looks better than expected.

 

It looks really good in person. I'm really happy that I got them. I would have been pissed had I not been able to get them.

 

Supposedly getting a delivery tomorrow, but tracking hasn't moved since the 22nd in CA.

 

Hmm I never really kept up on if mine moved or not but they did show up on time from when i checked the tracking on friday.

 

Getting wheels mounted today? Finally got home and got to touch mine.

 

Yup! Getting my alignment fixed right now and then to the tire shop for an 11:30 appt for install.
