I have purchased this tent but have not been able to pick it up yet.
    Just a few questions.
Anyone have any lil tricks or tips with this tent?
I hear most people chuck the foam and get a memory foam.
Will pillows and or sleeping bags fit inside when it is closed?
    Thanks

Most people just add a thin memory foam mattress topper to the foam mattress that comes with the tent.

You can leave the sleeping bags and pillows inside the tent and fold it up, just make sure they are not near the edges because it will make it harder to push the tent back inside while putting the black weather cover on top of the whole tent.

If you do decided to leave sleeping bags and pillows inside with the topper you're going to have to get better straps for the black weather cover. My Velcro straps quit holding and were flying around while I was cruising down the highway.

    Hey thanks for the reply...
What did you do just run a couple ratchet straps around the entire thing?

Another thing, the ladder is pretty shitty. Gets stuck a lot and is hard to lock into place. I don't have a remedy for that but I guess just keep the track clean and lube the locking pin.

Had mine out about 15 times now. We've done nothing other than add a 2.5" gel topper...sleeping bags fit fine closed with no additional straps, but we leave the pillows out. Smittybilt production fixed the ladder issue about a year or so ago, so with a recent date of manufacture, should be golden.

I wonder if I can just buy the new ladder and put it on my tent.

Ladder is the only thing that really pisses me off. I was folding out my tent one time and the locking pins failed so half the ladder went flying and scratched my truck.

Smittybilt has some decent support...a buddy called them to get some new track bolt inserts that he overtightened and deformed, and they sent a set for free.

I got in touch with them. Guess they don't sell directly you have to order from 4wheel parts.
