I just did Plastidip on it. Was going to paint them, but seeing it's still on the 40s here, paint wouldn't have set right, and I've noticed over the years, plastidip doesn't mind if it's cooler out when applying. They came out butter smooth.

I was in the air about it, I passionately hate the default decals on our trucks. As I was polishing it, friend who was with me, just grabbed the edge of the decal, tore it off, and says "I hate these godamn things, they're coming off" haha, dude made up my mind for me without me saying anything.

I think more than anything I'm worried I'll take them off and there'll be an outline etched around where they were. Like the kind that doesn't go away after cleaning. Probably nothing to worry about, but it's there. I might wash it (again) today, so we'll see what happens.

When he pulled mine off, we ran over it with maguiares Buffing, then Polishing using a DA buffer. Absolutely no marks left at all.

Did some work last night/this morning. Got a decked system to make things easier going back and forth to the range:

I got really really lucky that my existing electrical and water port mods still fit. 1/8” off and I would have been hosed.

Despite the cold temperatures, on-site supervision was present during the entire install.

I think it came out good. Install was easy. I will put it through the test over the next couple of weekends to see for sure.

Waste of money. Your Taco came from the factory with CIA.

It is, requires drilling towards the cab for some mounting plates, and then the front half used J hooks that latch onto existing bolts

    Rant warning:

First oil change on my truck, it was done by a dealership before I bought it as it had 13k on it. Well one skid plate bolt was stripped and the oil filter drain bolt was way over torqued. Rant over, now starting a Redline hood strut installation.

No more a waste of money than a TRD oil fill or radiator cover. At least there's some functionality to it, not to mention (oh hell I'll mention it).... it's his truck and his money.

I did the worst thing ever today. I ordered a set of BFG A/T KOs in the stock size. The stock Godyear Wranglers just have to go find a second life with someone else. I figured that being they only have just over 750 miles on them they should be easy to sell.
