I turn wood. I've made a lot of bowls, and trays, and candlesticks and stuff on my lathe. One thing I have never made on my lathe...two of anything that is identical. One thing I did do on my lathe is get better with every object I made imho. I got lucky, my wife loves to get this stuff, so I have an outlet.

You have an outlet in your truck as the receiver. Build another one, it won't be the same as that one, but you will likely have a few learnings under your belt from the first that you'll prolly like the second one better. Rinse and repeat.

Your enemy is time...but your seeming ability and desire should dictate a bit of time prioritizing. Go make another one!

 

Thanks man, i plan on building another one at some pount but not for a while, i still gotta build the rest of the truck. Theres a stuff on this one that annoys me and ill probably have to fix when i get time im still happy with it overall.

 

New diff oil, new transfer case oil. Did a transmission drain and fill.
Installed the fogs I got off of @Canadian144
But I did get a check engine light today...
P2443, cleared it, hasn't come back yet, hopefully it doesn't act up tomorrow.
I've read the truck can end up in limp mode.

 

Ugh, you got the 12- trouble year... Check with Toyota if they still warranty that part, I remember there was a campaign.

I have done this mod.
I received a letter last year that they were covering it if there was an issue, I'll have to double check this letter.

 

The weather is looking pretty bad all day south of the Mount Forest area. Weather Canada has a special weather statement warning of heavy rain and ponding on roads. Weather can come off the bay pretty quick once you get up around Owen Sound. Have a safe drive and take care out there.
