    Batch 10.
Yea I'm not a huge fan of rye.
I have been on a huge scotch kick so my bourbon has dwindled.
Still have a Blantons, and bookers 2016 I'm saving.

Huge fan of glendronach, just not the price.

There's getting to be way too much empty space in this bottle.

Haven't posted in a while. Just finished moving, hosted a scotch tasting with some friends. Pretty good turn out and a pretty good selection! Kept the bottles all around the same price range except for the Oban 18 which was a surprise I brought. (I actually like the 14 more...)

got to do a tour of the Woodford distillery about 4 years ago and became a fan after that. never knew that chocolate and Bourbon go together so well.

I do love my Woodford with a good cigar

    Happy Birthday to me :D

Ardbeg Corryvreckan has now replaced Lagavulin 16 as my favorite Scotch.

First impression of the Rampur is quite good. Very different for a whisky; extremely fruity (apricot, apple), sweet (honey for sure), some vanilla, a little spice on the finish. I almost picked up a bottle of Amrut, but another shopper next to me talked me into the Rampur instead.

Stopped by Total Wine today to see what they had hiding and was not disappointed. I had a choice between these two and ultimately went Japanese. Very hard to get Hakushu apparently. I am contemplating going back tomorrow and getting the Elijah Craig, but I have a lot of bourbon in my cabinet I need to drink.

Do Total Wines keep special stuff hidden somewhere? I occasionally make it to one and figured it's a big enough chain that everything would be on the shelf or in one of the locked cabinets.

Not necessarily my favorite, but pretty darn good. Discovered it in Glacier National Park after a productive day snowmobiling.

Depends on where you are. In Sacramento? No. Other locations, yes! Go to the customer service counter and ask if they have any interesting scotch or bourbon hiding behind the counter (it's called "allocation"). Get to know them by name.

Eh, they're all too far away for me to go regularly. Closest is about an hour... I'll ask next time I go though, maybe my charming smile will work.

My old man got me a bottle of this as a house warming gift and we ended up taking a tour of the place for his birthday. It's a family owned distillery here in Illinois. I think it's pretty damn good.

Don't tell me how to live my life, you're not my real mom.

It's on my list of things to buy this year.

Nightcap. In a Glencairn  lol.

Also had a bit of bookers bluegill creek batch. Two solid pours. Dovetail has batch 2 coming out now from what I’ve read. Hope it is as good as batch 1.
