compare the stance of it to that of a 4x4. they should sit about the same since they have the same 4x4 frame/suspension

look inside the wheel well, if there are cvs then its a 4x4 if not its a prerunner/2wd

or look inside the cabin, no 4x4 switch then prerunner/2wd

look under truck if theres a transfer case its a 4wd... look under the front of the truck... if theres a front differential then its a 4wd

OH and if it is really a TRD sport than it is atleast a prerunner.... look at the rear differential, if it has sticker that says LSD fluid only then it is a TRD Sport

I know its NOT 4x4 just wasn't sure if it was a prerunner. Stance gives it away i suppose. Why would there be no tag on the tailgate? If they took that off...why not remove all of em? After seeing some of the crap I have seen lately I trust NOBODY! lol

It was in an accident and probably had the tailgate replaced. I don't think they come with the badging on a replacement gate.

tailgate could have been stolen and replaced by a shop that didn't know where the nameplates went. Not necessarily rear ended (unless carfax says otherwise)

Or he was so butthurt about having 2WD that he took it off intentionally...seen it before

You can always have it inspected by a third party shop, but personally I'd keep looking.

if a repair shop cant take the time to put the badges on the tailgate where their supposed to be, how do you know they took the time to do the damage repair correctly?
