Unfortunately March got booked up pretty quick. Im thinking maybe mid April? Anything you know of going down wheeling wise in that month? Im trying to get a RCV axle set up going in the next month or so hopefully I can be more ready.

Well I’ll update for him since he’s passed out on my couch right now after a long day of working on this thing. Got bypasses, coil bucket gussets, and big brake kit installed today. Tomorrow we got test things out. Wouldn’t let me steal the bypasses for my truck

So I am slowly fitting my bullshit build of a snorkel. I have to admit it is fun to get this thing going. If I had painters tape I would have done my stencil and cut the fender tonight, but leaves tomorrow for more fun. Doesn’t look like much, but I have been testing the fit and cut the pipe to a degree that will likely work enough to make a mock template for the hole.

On a side note, it seems the West is all about race radios and I’m considering the rugged radios blue RH5R handheld. I was thinking th package that has the extended ducky radio, car charger, and mic seemed like a legit combo. I think it’s even preprogrammed to a degree.

Here are some action of the snorkel so far for testing purposes.

The RH5R is just a rebranded BaoFeng UV-5R that sells for $24 on Amazon, do yourself a favor and pick up a BaoFeng UV-82HP with a Nagoya NA-771, newer model with better features.

Nice brother appreciate this feedback! I had heard a few times that the rugged radios might be like this, but hell yea!

The extended one I have had last about 5 days with typical trail use. Obviously the more you use it, the shorter the life.

Damn thats still a pretty good timeframe though. Dammit I get the feeling I will be ordering this soon. Is the 82HP the same as what you have?

I think that’s basically the newer version of mine. Mines a few years old now.

Dude! How deep is the water in the desert? That's the tallest snorkel I've ever seen!
