I definitely need to do more research. I wish I could do the earlier Tacoma washer reservoir but I don't really want to delete my ABS stuff... (even though it doesn't currently work :anonymous:)

Yeah I looked into deleting ABS. Too much work for me.

@Blackdawg has a right up about what he did. Made his own tank out of pvc pipe. It’s pretty cool. Pretty sure it was him

    Yep in Frankenstein's build.

I ripped out the abs. In retrospect putting a kill switch in would have been better probably

Trip was great. Was a good trip to not have a perfect truck. Took it easy on Igor. Elephant hill sure was beat up but no issues even with a pretty much stock 3rd gen.

Had a blast. Hiked like 25miles. Weather was good till last day.

Parts didn't show up though so have to go to Powell next weekend to have a welder for cam tabs gussets.

Oddly drove better headed north than when we went South on the highway. Hard braking is sketch right now though haha new lcas will fix that. Gonna check my slip joint maybe too as I think my TAC welds broke.

I actually tried doing that a few nights ago and it went....terribly.

I need to remove all the black paint off them first lol.

Why would you have to remove the rear mud flaps?

I have bent them backward a few times coming off of some big rocks but they haven't broken off yet, just bend back into place. Dunno how many more times they'll be able to handle that though

No pics, I was dumb and thought I could do it after work before the sun went down...I've repainted them black a few times really quickly but it's easy when you're just repainting them the same color (especially black).

I masked off the wheel and sprayed it with the bronze wheel paint and it all just ran right off. Soaked it up with a roll of shop towels, sanded down the wheel and tried again but the same thing happened, although not as bad. I need to get all the old paint off first and really sand them down for it to stick. Gonna be a day long project at least.

I refuse to powder coat anything on my truck, seems like a big waste of money unless it's a street only rig.

edit: jokes on me, my roof rack is powder coated.

Guess I'm just lucky they haven't gotten ripped off yet, that would suck since you have to have them on in CA if it's a street legal truck

I'm sure powder coat holds up better than rattle can but I can't imagine it would be immune to rock chips, especially on the wheels
