My fronr bumper is powder coat, but that’s only because I hated the finish on my rear bumper which I painted myself.

Bedliner...use the kind that doesn't have a lot of texture if you don't want it looking too rough. Then apply it with a brush. Looks just like powder coat. And holds up better than rattle can paint.

I had window tint on my last car for 2+ years without issue until one day it became an issue...wasted a whole day at the Pasadena court house waiting to prove to a judge that I got it removed, sucked.

I need to do that to my rear bumper and hitch.

My front Bumper isn’t going to see any rocks so the powder coat won’t get ruined LOL

I used bedliner on my fender flares and it works well, doesn't fade anymore and is a lot more resistant to scratches from tree branches.

wasn't aware of that one. had to look it up... 100% correct - 27600 CVC. Damn, guess I should put them back on although just a fixit tix.

    http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f...7600.&article=5.&highlight=true&keyword=flaps

flap also apparently has to be as wide as the tire...

I just don’t feel like pulling the bumper off and sanding it all the way down to bare metal

weird. although I guess you could argue, since it was sold (by the dealer) without flaps, then technically it shouldn't apply. Probably would have to produce proof it wasn't designed with them. again, all just a fix-it tix so no issue. then again, if you don't want to give some over zealous ofc a reason to stop you... lol

I mean I have no reason not to run them. The only reason I don’t is because it didn’t come with any

what paint? That duplicolor wheel paint worked really well for me. I didn't sand but then again it wasn't too bad. The original clear was still present in some spots. I think I ended up doing like 4 or 5 light coats then 1 heavy followed by 2 clear.

Also painting them while they’re laying flat is easier than painting them while they are on the truck

It was the Duplicolor stuff... it just ran really bad, didn't stick at all. Also the texture from the black paint that was left underneath it showed through what did stick so even that looked really bad, I just need to clean them up real good and give them a proper sanding

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Current state of the tundra. They gave me the wrong valve cover gasket for the passenger side. But pretty close to done.
And I got the warning label for the driver side valve cover
    Because I’m that kinda guy
