So, haven’t been in here much.....

Evap issue. The canister is messed. When I don’t get a light on in the dash the canister is clogged (no leaks) and I can’t fuel up. When the light is on in the dash (Evap leak) I can fuel up. So I’m pretty sure I am going to have to replace that eventually.

I finally figured out a tilt slide. Converted my home made fridge slide and figured out a way to make it tilt

There are “pins” that catch the fridge to keep the slide from falling out. So when the fridge goes to tilt it catches.

Also, I have been wanting to get rid of the tool box my socket kit came into....it takes up room. It’s latches are broken and needed to go. I needed up organizing all the truck tools.

    All of this
    2835F3F9-7CCD-4035-97E3-BD90680EA929.jpg
    Goes into these.
    975354D7-02A3-4551-B5EF-31BA7C98DE53.jpg
And these are the two bags. That’s it. Used some husky small bags for the sockets and wratchet wrenches. I used some rope and carabiners to keep the wrenches organized (metric and standard).

Everything is labelled metric and standard in the individual bags.

I need to do this, I do not have enough tools in the truck. I found today at the shop while removing the LCA skids that I did not have a 9/16 wrench in my kit.

I will follow your lead and setup metric, and standard bags. Seems way more organized.

I condensed a kit I had. Saves on room and ensures you have everything. I have also gotten in the habit of trying to maintence and other things using my truck tools to ensure I have everything like you mentioned.

All the bags and everything were purchased at Home Depot. Not the most efficient but is cost effective.

If I could I would have gone this setup. Not sure of the quality but price wise this is a good mix. Again don’t know if this would be big enough.

    Hmmm

For $25 that is pretty decent, if it doesnt just fall apart as soon as you fill it up.

Well we will find out, it comes in orange. I bought it.

    :bananadead:

Of course orange is not prime and will be delivered in 60 days? Green it is.

Haha. They have pricier ones from the states. But I’m not paying $90+ US for that. I’ll be interested to hear. For sockets I can’t see it being terrible.

I have a roll up mastercraft tool bag that I got at cnd tire for like $15, but it just does not hold enough.

It goes against my grain to pay for something online, and have to way so long for it that I forget I bought it. That is not how I shop online. I pay for it now, I want it now. Put it in my grabby fingers :cookiemonster:

Fair. BUT with the winter (apparently still fucking here as it is currently snowing on my place) I order all my cheap Chinese crap and wait, until the summer hits to install it.

An example. Cheap crap that I would use in the event of an emergency. Not to be relied on more than one time. Total cost? 4-5 bucks per piece

Bit of a update. I had gotten these drawers for very little money compared to what they are worth. Figured out a way for everything to be mounted while maximizing space and allowing for easy to access to everything.

The large drawer will be the kitchen, little drawer will be quick grab stuff like wipes, flashlites, big spray, OBW stuff.

The little drawer is positioned to allow a bunch of camping chairs, tents, and shelters to be stacked and accessible. The big drawer will have a plano bin up top holding all the spare parts

Fridge slide was modified to allow for a tilt. So much easier to access stuff now!

Lastly.....the RTT is gone and I have joined the bandwagon with the gazelle tents. Quick setup inside. Was raining outside when we got it.

Yeah, one downside to this designed cap. I was thinking of making risers, but I would have lost space underneath and up top. One of the big things is having that plano filled with parts and fluid up and out of the way. It should work. Going to rework my awning so we are covered since the party zone will be out of the back now lol.
Also big reason for the gazelle was speed, and price. Plus it shipped so easy through Amazon, instead of going through a international order.

Yeah. May be looking into something. My cvt may be a bit long for the back.

The gazelle has been used by a few guys in winter and it seems to be qualified as a four season. Not only that but the set up is quicker than the rtt. Only issue your back on the ground.

I’m happy with the weight reduction. I use to be in the ground but some of the areas we go are mud and rock. I’ll figure it out though. Girlfriend doesn’t like the “too small rtt” so gazelle it was.

question is finding large enough flat spot/s for the tent... I'm starting out so looking into a RTT/Rack, but thinking I might get the gazelle instead... its much cheaper, and I like the fact that it breaks down/sets up in 90 seonds or so.. add 2-4 stakes and a foldable cot, and you have a comfortable sleeping arangement in under 5 minutes.. I can remove it from my truck when not needed.. and retain my bed space for projects..

I may still get the bed rack though.. looking at KBvoodoo's max modular 14" rack with the tonneau brackets (I get an LEO discount), but its still looking at $700-800 shipped.. I could make the drive to NY, but its still 10 hour drive for me (along with about 2- 2.5 fill ups with the taco, or max 2 fill ups with the wifes car (CX-5)... another possibility is my buddies father/mother live in Syracuse... and they make trips up here every once in a while he may be able to pick it up for me..

I have the same concern. Time will tell I guess. Worst case I just have to move around or make it work. The t3 is a bit smaller but all in time. Definitely pros and cons to each setup. But cost, versatility and weight is a huge pro for the gazelle over the rtt
If your looking for that rack @Joe23 has one for sale.
