Talking to the ISS sounds fun! Are they quick to get you off the line though or are they happy to answer your questions?

Most of talking to this ISS guys is scripted. But they have been known to hop on for some casual chat as a leisure activity.

I imagine you conversation can run dry with their roommates at times haha

My wife's been watching 'One Strange Rock' on Netflix when we go to bed so the ISS is pretty fresh on the mind. Also that google maps walk through of the ISS is cool.
Being up there I'd definitely get bored, I get bored being down here, can't imagine being that limited. Thought I was going stir crazy in basic training. Can't imagine spending years in a tin can floating.

I imagine they bury themselves in their work. But I agree. I lived in Florida for a bit and had a hard time living where it was so flat. I could only imagine what living in a tin can would be like.

But I bet it's one hell of a view. Plus I could still play with my radios. Haha

Thats a bold face lie and you know it.

We are having a fantastic mud season up here, and they're just on "roads" so I'm not even morally conflicted about it

Yeah. Never had any issues of traction with them. I'd suggest getting them installed by a Goodyear shop. They're used to balancing them

    Thanks!

Dakar leaf packs. Version ... 3.0 now? It's OK. We'll find a way to keep her from squawking

    I have not.

My last attempt was fluid film. But when I went out to where I wanted to open up the pack by flexing it out, I accidentally went mudding on the way out there.

    Whoops.

I'm guess the metal being soaked might have prevented a good taking of the spray. Regardless, I might split them this spring and put.more anti friction material in between them

Yeah, I got one of those as well. It's a little embarrassing... I'm pretty sure some of that comes from the bushings, which I'm replacing whenever I'll AAL. Idk about your leafs, but mine didn't squeal until I took them off road, bathe them in mud and puddles, and then power washed them. Also, second leaf from top doesn't have any pads. I've seen on here somewhere people wrap zip ties (like maybe 5 of them) or vinyl pool lining (and recently heard of pulling on a bicycle tube, like a condom) to prevent metal on metal noise. You could maybe try that before splitting them.

I might try respraying them and trying Maners suggestion too. I've hear of the zip tie trick. That's pretty crafty.

The noise doesnt bother me all that much. But I feel bad for others if I roll into camp late with the war wagon haha

Im kinda surprised fluid film didnt work. They say its supposed to work in wet conditions, but maybe not in such a small area
