Exactly. While this software is still very much in it's infancy, it comes out of the box in working order. I'm positive this will be *THE* solution for tuning your truck in the times to come. Even for those who are not interested in learning to tune their own truck, you can simply buy the credits/tune from someone who is, and you don't have to buy the expensive hardware or worry about how to interpret the values/tables.

Anyone have connections with the moderation/admin staff? I'd like to propose the idea of adding the ability to upload the .hpt and .hpl file extensions so we can share datalogs and calibrations.

Another factor for tuning to remember with the TRD calibration is the maf table limit of 322 g/s that will need to be overcome with some modification. My plan is the larger maf tube.
Unless this hptuners software can do map speed density tuning instead of using the maf?

I really need to get my hands on a TRD calibration..

The larger MAF Tube would certainly work. Recalibration of the MAF table will allow you to dial that in no problem. Currently, there isn't a supported speed density conversion for our trucks *yet*. As we all know, it's commonplace on the GM based applications. I suspect with enough requests, we could get HPTuners to address it.

Isnt it a limitation on the ecu like the lack of E85 support?

@JustDSM....so a person can get their ecu flashed with another person's MPVI2 if they buy the 4 credits for $200? The credits I guess buy access to 1 ecu and the MPVI2 is the hardware to read/write to it.

I'm not quite following you on the limitation on the stock ECU regarding E85. Currently, flex-fuel isn't supported for our applications as we don't have an ethanol content analyzer. So our ECU isn't capable of detecting and therefor compensating for various amounts of alcohol content. However, we can convert over to E85 use through developing a tune specific for a given content of ethanol. Essentially you'd tune for whatever concentration is at your given pump. If that concentration drastically changes or you go to an area where it's not available, you can simply reflash a gasoline based tune for your setup. It was a common practice for my prior customers to have me tune their vehicle on 91 and E85 seperately. So they could simply swap tunes for the fuel they were running.

I'd like to make it clear, those wishing to go to E85 could do so.

The second part of your post.. Yes, I could tune your truck with my MPVI2. I just need credits. I'm happy to do that for anyone wishing for a more plug-n-play solution and not interested in tuning their own truck. Quite a bargan considering a simple fuel controller that modifies the MAF signal is in that price range and you can do much, much more for relatively the same entry fee.

Yeah I did both but it still not working. I have a feeling it’s due to it being a 2015 xrunner. I opened a ticket with hptuners I’m sure we’ll get it figured out.

Sorry for the confusion. I didnt mean you couldn't tune for E85, I meant about the flex fuel part.
I meant that even if we got the flex fuel analyzer from a Tundra or something, I dont know if it would work with our ecu if our ecu doesnt have the capability?

That's awesome about the tunes! Then people may be able to get their tune tweaked (for a small fee) to match their mod progression!

This would also be amazing for those with Methanol injection as fuel/timing can be manipulated to optimize the tune for the meth.

Well keep us posted! I'm surprised as I have a '15 6spd TRD OR. I would have figured they had the '15's covered.. Hmm.

No worries! I wanted to make sure I understood your reference. I see now what you were after.

Our ECU has a fixed number of inputs which are all used by existing sensors/switches. So there's the first problem, we need a for the ECU to see the ethanol content. From here there are a few ways around the problem, none of which are currently doable or supported, but with enough support it's entirely possible that these options could be implemented with the HPTuners.

One such way to get our trucks flex-fuel capable would be through the utilization of existing inputs on the ECU which are re-purposed from *deleted* SMOG equipment in your *strictly off-road truck*. Say.. Secondary Air Injection pump and associated hardware gets deleted in your off-road truck. You could potentially re-purpose an input from that 5v circuit and feed it a 5v signal from an ethanol content analyzer. Having the 5v signal from the ethanol content sensor in the ECU would allow someone with the coding ability to do some magic in the code of the calibration to modify the fuel/ignition/etc tables to compensate for the measured ethanol concentration.

So as things stand it's currently "not possible", but it's not impossible..

Expanding on this. Maybe I need pre-SAI headers and a pre-SAI passenger side valve cover...

Or instead of pre-SAI headers, a @Torspd fab turbo kit.
