There is a new Special Service Campaign under the dealer reference ID of K0B. The picture below lists what is in the service.

Sounds like a TSS sensor may need adjusted or replaced

I've had PCS yell at me for a leaf going across the street so it wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks for posting this, I had this come up on me a few weeks ago with no resolution so far, my post from last week!

2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, completely stock, no mods at all. 2300 miles and I start getting this warning of "Pre-Collision System Unavailable---Clean Sensor". The warning message on the center cluster would disappear without acknowledgement within 5 sec but the orange icon would stay on. Would happen randomly from 2 to 30 minutes into a drive. No weather issues, grille and windshield were clean, random traffic or no traffic at all, day time and night time. If I turned the truck off and back on it would clear. Took to dealer after a few days of dealing with it on every drive and the tech couldn't replicate the fault on 2 drives. He took a drive with me for about 25 minutes to explain to me how things work, the same drive he had done twice that day, he pushed every button etc etc on the drive to try to re-create the problem to no avail, then as we were pulling into the dealership lot to check out the warning came on for him and he admitted it wasn't right. Pushed more buttons, ran thru the dealer car wash etc and couldn't make it go away until he shut the ignition off and started back up. At that point he said something was wrong, bring it back in when you can, which since I didn't have a ride at the time I schedule an appt a few days later. Did that this morning and now they say after contacting Toyota tech support that everything is operating properly and I need to keep the vehicle clean and out of reflections etc etc since they can't see any codes or find an issues.

I’ve been saying this since cars and trucks have had big 9”+ high def screens basically right in the driver’s face.

You can watch a movie, surf the internet, text, make calls, send emails and everything else imaginable while driving.

It’s beyond me how that is not distracted driving. But totally legal since the auto manufacturers install them.

Try picking up your cell phone while driving and you’ll have an entire swat team arresting you. But, dangerously fucking with hundreds of buttons on a big screen in legal.

Well at least we're not running into the backs of fire trucks and street sweepers like the boys at Enron 2.0

Lawsuit waiting to happen. How’s does Toyota know the sensor is not compromised in anyway before applying sealer? Possibly sealing in moisture that has entered yet the TSS system functions okay at that time. The brand I work on has bought a few cars back because the safety systems would give faulty warnings for no apparent reason. Most recent one I can remember is a $160K vehicle were it thought something was in front of it & would apply the brakes suddenly. Could not duplicate but manufacturer wasn’t going to chance it & bought car back.

This is the second "sensor" issue on my truck I've had. Bought 12/20/18, oil level sensor was the first which was diagnosed(after multiple service visits) as a faulty wire which had a break inside the insulation. First one was very engine related, second is safety related.

Also very safety related on this one, I have a Toyota Corp case # with this, I hope they don't try to "seal" it, I already have documented issue with it.
