This is my 2nd. Tacoma, the first was a '98 that I purchased in 2002, that ended up going to the crusher with only 88K on the ticker in '08 due to a rotted frame. I'd previously changed the complete starter on that one.:spending:

Enter my 2008 under the buy back program.

This starter managed 125,000 miles despite my g/f learning to drive a stick on it. She wasnt too hard on the clutch, however; she stalled and hac to restart quite a few times. I'm surprised it lasted this long.:fingerscrossed:

Being a Turkey hunted I use the starter hard for two months out of the year, a month scouting and a month hunting. :infantry:

For you guys that don't hunt turkeys, a good starter is important when scouting and hunting Turkey because these pursuits often involve progressing 1/4 mile at a time, shutting off the truck , listening for Gobbles, then restarting and proceeding on lengthy stretches of deserted roads out in BFE.

I have to buckle my seat belt behind me and make sure I remove the Ign. Key so the dingers dont ping when I open the door.

Toyotas biggest weakness IS seat belt retractors that dont reliably work !:brianr:
