No regrets here on ADS, love them the only thing I have not figured out is the TC UCA, I get a slight tick when I back up, it is driving me batty, I have torqued and re-torqued and it is starting to become a PITA, might change to different UCA. Suggestions????

Are you sure it's the UCA? Sway bar isn't contacting the coil? Torqued the uniball?

I’m in the market for some front coils. ADS is an option. Why ADS over King? Do the ADS hold up to corrosion well? Any problems having the ADS adjusted to 3” with 700lb spring? Ive got bamf sliders, rci skids, just ordered a front bumper and winch, so the weight is getting up there. I’ve got total chaos uppers and 5100’s on 887’s right now and the time has come to switch out the 5100’s.

    2.5" is what is advertised.

You'll definitely want 700# coils. Not sure about the max lift, but I believe 3" is doable.

As for corrosion resistance, from my research, ADS has the best reputation. All coilovers will corrode in the salt states, but ADS is know for having some of the best coatings and resistance .

What is the cost to rebuild both fronts? Thanks for the quick responses.

2.5 would work for me if it were a true 2.5 after weight and settling. Clearing 285’s the important part.

    This is good to hear.

    But why is that?

I have almost the same setup with 700# coils. With 1” of preload I get 2” of lift which is ideal. They drive awesome and have a better corrosion coating than King. Component-wise I think they are as good if not better than King. King is a big brand with blue shocks everyone knows

Because they just are thats why. J/k. I had a set of kings on a 99 tacoma and they were fine. They are acctually still on that truck and its been through the baja 1000 a few times. But i wanted something that all the "bros" didnt have so i found these and am glad i did. They ride like a cloud. And the customer service from ADS is outstanding

Is your truck that’s gone through the Baka 1000 a trophy truck? They don’t just let any truck go through that race...

Was definitely a lot of work to get ready for. But was a blast doing. This was back in 05 and 06. We were still kids but made it. We never have finished the whole 1000 miles. The furthest we did go was about 400 till something would brake and take us out of competition. I definitely want to try to do it again someday. But life has gotten in the way for now.

I am here in colorado and corrosion resistance is one of the reasons i purchased ADS and i haven't any issues with them this winter and we have had a lot of snow so they have put down a lot of that spray on salt and that stuff is harsh. Not 100" sure on adjusting to 3". I have the 700lb springs and when I installed my 200lb front bumper, my winch, and weld on sliders it didn't drop my front end at all if it did it was maybe 1/8th an inch or something like that. I love my ADS so far and can't wait until spring melts the snow in the mountains so i can get back to wheeling.

Not sure this is really a good comparison because they are 2.0’s and Fox vs Kong’s are not in the same category. Fox seems to be in a lower tier than King’s Overall quality. A pro shop I visited said they have way more issues with Fox than other brands unless you go with their higher end race line stuff
