Not understanding this. My 2019 has a sun/moon whatever roof and leather plus nav etc. It has the premium and tech packages and all the off-road goodies like MTS, crawl, locker, skid plates. If I understand what it is you want, I bought it off the lot two weeks ago. Only diff is the color.

 

They offer it, there may not be any near you right now, but they offer it. Find a salesman willing to work for a sale and he will get you one.

Do you mean you can’t get Quicksand with premium/tech in off road. I have a DCLB Off Road with Prem/Tech (Silver Sky)

 

Have you found yourself ever needing to do something that required a locked diff and not being able to do it because you didn’t have one? The diff lock is a nice to have feature and a great selling point but most of the time it never gets used.

 

If you want a LB MT it only comes in Sport

 

Op, here's what it comes down to then. Form or function? I went function. If color matters that much to you (and it's OK if it does) then go with a non locking quicksand.

 

I had a 2wd sport for almost 2 years. Did fine but wanted more. Now I have a 4wd OR and it’s pretty nice having 4wd. I have used the locker on a run and it was nice! I suggest you buy one with it if you know you will be using it soon. If it’s not a must have, sit back, enjoy the truck and save for a aftermarket locker

 

Depends. How often are you stuck with a rear wheel skyed in the air?

The 4wd is still plenty good for most folks.

With that being said, for the most part, if I can clear it with my truck I'm confident that I can get over most everything within reason with A-Trac and the locker.

OP, sounds like that configuration has been made, can you change your zip code on yota dot com? Try one from different parts of the country, maybe even Canada. With your family owning the dealership I would think they would be able to get one on allocation, maybe yota isnt going to produce any more in that color with that configuration for this model year, but I doubt that.

 

With all of the electronics (traction control, crawl control, abs, whatever other stuff the 3rd gens have), why do you need the locker anymore? Shouldn't the crawl control pulse the brake of the spinning wheel and transfer torque to the wheel that has traction?

And yes, if you are really that vain and won't change your color (or listen to the several people that say that it IS available, your dealer just can't find it), then...

 

Make sure you test drive both trucks as the ride will be different
