I have specific design goals. Other people will be fine with a lighter bumper.

Are you planning on installing a winch on that bumper, and use it?
If so, make sure that their aluminum bumper is strong enough for winch use. Not trying to be a downer, but I also wanted to slap on a lightweight aluminum bumper on mine, but ive read that some guys bent theirs, and are replacing them with steel. Not sure about DO, but that was a case with CBI ones.

I’m not concerned about Demello bumpers bending, he’s famous in the Toyota world for making strong as shit bumpers. But I wasn’t planning on getting a winch either

So I fully finished my front end spring, strut, UCA, upper/lower balljoints job tonight. Welding patches into the driver fender and floor holes next.

Completely making this crap up unless y'all give me some tips. I taped a piece of aluminum foil over the hole and sharpie marked the hole pattern onto the foil. Then layed the foil flat onto the sheet of metal and traced with sharpie. Next I'll take the grinder and cut the steel. Then I'll do a couple rough folds and some hammering into shape. Then I will start with the tack welding into place.

    Sound like a plan?

I did very well today, considering it was stocked trout.

I can't fish for "stocked" trout until next weekend. I thought about going Saturday to a year round catch and release stream full of wild browns. But I had too much work to do.

Saturday was stupid with people. Yesterday, saw three people on the same stretch, where there were 200 Saturday.

I’d hit the wild stream over the stocked streams any day. They are just far and few around me.

I’ll be up in the poconos for the regular opener.

Guess it's off for an alignment this evening. Wonder if one side of my axle is sitting a little forward. Steering wheel is off, centered around 11oclock instead of at 12 but it's not pulling that bad one way or another.

That is the only reason I am actually going to camp this year. I haven't had a day to do what I wanted since mid January. I have tons of shit on my list that is of more importance, but for my sanity it is time to take a little break. Two more work weeks, and finally a break.
