    You're kidding right?

@KB Voodoo is right, not even close to the issues of the past.

Likewise. I thought I carried too much stress around with me day to day but to get so bent out of shape over something that can be so easily taken care of yourself makes me think I need to give myself more credit. It's a sad sign of the times I guess.

It's gotta suck to be a vendor these days and have to deal with situations like this, especially when people try to make a big stink about something so small on a public forum. I don't think I'd have the patience for it. Props to you guys out there that do lol.

Maybe I am to particular guys but when I pay top dollar for something I dont expect to see it rusting before it's even put through the paces.

I'm not looking for a hand out either. I said replace it or give me my money back. He told me to touch it up. So it's the same shit other guys have been saying.

Sorry, but it is made of steel. If it gets a rock chip or something, and exposes bare steel, it will rust (especially on heavily salted roads).

We supply a paint pen for that reason.

You probably payed top dollar for your TRD Pro and I can guarantee there is probably more rust starting on it than the bed rack.

I’d hit those spots with a clear coat. You can keep an eye on them but still have it sealed.

Appreciate the advice. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, at the end of the day its a box rack. I understand the spots don't look bad yet but the point is that the rack is pretty much brand new and its a known issue. I did email VooDoo first, and touching it up with a paint marker is not a solution in my eyes. I am not one to go online and bash vendors but bs is bs. About why I went with them, I liked the height of the rack, I liked the bolt on options. Some guys talked highly about them and I wanted to give them the benefit of the dought. Live and learn I guess.

OP seems like the kinda guy that would ask the dealer for a new truck cause his brake rotors got rusty overnight.

The known issues that we had are long gone.

Those issues were edge peeling and bubbling of the coating. We haven't had a single instance of that with our new racks.

Rust sucks, rust never sleeps. Doesn’t look that bad, but it would bug me. That being said, I think the vendor does great work and stands behind his products. I had my truck rustproofed and there is rust on spots, it’s a constant battle where I live. Things are only new for a day.
