I totally forgot about that. What a dummy. It was a good rookie mistake day for me for sure.
    It’s all coming back now.

First, @Hobbs thanks for the offer. Those look great. I got a Ribeye going on in 30 minutes though. PS: Somebody buy this guys fucking tires already:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...heels-w-tpms-wrangler-trailmark-tires.584665/

Second, yeah I also had to pull a Jeep out. Pics because it did happen. lol

So here's my first look at the scene:

The red Taco isn't actually stuck. I don't really know why he was there or what his plans where. The two other truck are buried to the diffs. Those are the gents I went to help out. I'd guess it's about 300 yards from the blacktop to where they got buried.

@MSN88longbed was the first to get recovered. He was facing the correct way for an easy exit. Here's the first winch attempt. In all it took 3 before he was back on top of the snow. Take note of the traction boards. It was the first time they came off my roof rack since they where new. They helped a lot with getting the rig back on top of the snow. lol

Here's a very happy Taco's ass heading back to pavement.

Next up was the rig that was truly buried. I didn't take any photo's of getting them back on top of the snow but here's a good one of him backing out. As you guys that snow wheel already know once your back in the tracks you keep going. He did and backed all the way out to blacktop.

Once everyone was safe I aired back up. @MSN88longbed tried to offer some funds to offset the recovery cost and I politely told him not to worry about it. He offered up a rad bottle opener that he machined and I gladly accepted it. We talked for a bit and he started his drive home. It was nice to meet you John.

While we where talking it was brought to my attention the Taco 2 couldn't get out of low range. John gave some insight to the younger group. I think his words where something like "You have to be in neutral to get in or out of low range". That one made me laugh but I did my best to keep it internal. lol

So that left me and Taco 2. I talked the owner though what I thought the problem was. I'm sure the actuator got some water in it and possibly shorted a fuse. After three tries to get them to check the fuse or at least bang on the actuator nothing came of it. So, Taco 2 was stuck in lo.

Just as I was about to leave up comes the Jeep. The driver stops, puts it 4hi, and keeps on going. I didn't even have time to go over and tell the driver that snow conditions where really shitty. They got to find out for themselves 48.7 seconds later. FML. Guess recovery 3 is on the way.

I aired back down and went to ask if any help was needed. Yep, it was. The guys from Taco 2 came over and gave a hand digging the Jeep out and helped get it about halfway turned around.

By this point I decided just snatch strapping the Jeep the rest of the way would be way quicker. I got me and the Jeep hooked up and drove slowly out in lo/lo. The driver did great keeping the front wheels cranked hard in my direction and a few feet later they where out and facing the right direction for an easy exit.

Back at the blacktop everyone said goodbye and I went on my way.

There's a lot of things that can be learned from this. I thought for a minute about pointing most of the important ones out. Then I realized it's TW and logic doesn't really work well. I'll let the masses continue with the great advice. In the meantime I get to soak up some good karma and eat a huge ribeye.

What's crawl control going to do when a rig is high centered on it's diffs and belly? But to answer the question I don't know if any fancy electronic crap was used.

But I was under the impression that crawl control was more advanced than an ancient truck with gear driven dual cases.

The crawlbox is gear driven. My stock case behind it is a j-shift chain drive. Still bullet proof though. Judging by the pic of your rig I'm sure you understand. lol

The really crappy part is when Taco 2's 4wd actuator or computer wouldn't let it out of lo range. Techs great till it's not. lol

Air down to increase contact patch of tire on loose material and float on it.

With hard surface underneath loose material, don’t air down so you cut through loose material and make contact with hard surface.
