New to lifts and got a few questions for those with the 5100’s.
    1. This is a 2” lift right?
    2. 5100’s for the rear provide no lift? I assume this is where the AAL comes in.
    3. So overall 2/1 lift with the aal?
    4. Biggest tire size with this?
    5. Since it’s only 2” I hear the needle bearing with be safe?
    6. How bad of a mpg drop from your experience?
    7. Send pics!

    1 - depends on springs
2 - rear springs control height
3 - depends on both front and rear spring choices
    4 - too complicated. Research.
5 - be safe or do it if needed
6 - lift doesnt change mpg much unless you go nose high. Tires make a bigger difference.
7 - literally hundrends of threads for this.

Just my opinion, but for 265/70/17 on a 3rd gen, I might stay with the stock suspension. Does not look too stuffed to me. My point is, if you are going with a 2" lift on a 3rd gen, which is the same as a 3" lift on a second gen, you might as well go for a bigger tire.

I think if you only do 2" on a 3rd gen and go bigger on tire size you will get major rub.. this is where body chop comes into play

True but I guess it depends on the size. I saw some 275/70/17s on a Tacoma and its a nice ++ size... if that makes sense.

265/70/17 is a great + size for a slightly lifted 2nd gen or even a stock 3rd gen. Its all subjective, nobody likes the stuffed look, but nobody likes the skyjacker on 30s look either.

I’m pretty sure I’m sticking with 265/70 17 w the Bilstein lift.. but the Fuel wheels I’m getting is 17X9 so they will stick out some.. which I want

The wider wheels will help it show as larger tires. I was happy with my 265/70/17 so I wont talk you out of them!
