The one pro I keep going to with an auto is that my GF can drive it with ease. Don’t have to teach her how to drive a manual.

 

Ooooor you could find a girlfriend that already knows how to drive stick. Just sayin’.

 

Now see, for me that would be a con.

 

Much better to stay with this keeper.

 

Does a double lie make it true? I got to wondering about that and if it was a real ad, because they did in fact have some pretty blatantly false ads based on what we now know. But that's not one of them, it's a graphic designer's submission for something created in 2012. The irony is that shit never changes - even if it were a real ad back then people might have believed it, and these days the same kinds of things still happen in advertising. I'd say it gets harder and harder to tell what's real and what isn't, but the truth is the difficulty is probably about the same, it's just that as we've gotten more sophisticated and knowledgeable so have the liars.

 

I have the auto in my '12, I wanted the MT but couldn't find one at the time. I have no real issues with it. I put it in 4 around town not OD and it seems much better. I downshift and upshift manually when on the passes.

Anyone know of any soft topper sales or group buys? I’m out in GJ but figured some of you are in the boulder area and may know the guys out there. They sounded pretty cool on the phone

 

What year is your truck and bed length? I always keep my eyes open for used ones and can notify you when I come across one.

Oof, these are the hard ones to find used. I've had my truck for 5 years and have only seen one or two for sale and they all went quickly... @lambo may consider selling his if he decides to stay bedrack/RTT all the time.. You should pester him

 

Haha! Pester message sent thanks man. One was listed for sale in response to my thread I started in AZ. Anyone have a rough idea of what shipping would be... or used TW express to move things?

 

Shipping shouldn't be bad on those. The frame folds down and you can roll/fold the canvas to be a fairly flat box that is the size of a tailgate. From AZ, I would guess it would be under $30.

 

I figured less than 50... I can’t convince him to ship it though..

 

Haha... yeah I haven't decided what I'm doing. I really like the softtopper and it would be nice to remove the tent and stuff for winter...

I think it cost me $60-70 to ship a softtopper from Colorado to Michigan

Let me have first dibs if you decide to sell it, not sure what I’m trying to do for my set up... something to keep gear dry for camping and biking and this seems like the best idea...
