To help us poor old people when we retire. Since the baby boomers will suck out all the social security benefits. There will be nothing left.

Pay your taxes and be Thankful the kids younger than you will pay their taxes so they can help you retire! hehehehee

How can they pay taxes when they dont have any jobs? And someone in the Defense Department cant find out where 91 Billion dollars earmarked for Iraqi reconstruction projects went to,yeah I want Government to run more crap:mad: Njs Inspection stations are privately run with the State as over seeing and they still are in the hole, that just goes to show you what happens to a State when it has been dominated by Democrats, and at least the Fat Govenor Christie is making tough decisions instead of throwing more money at the problems

It's funny because a Republican governor is the one who signed the Parsons contract for the inspections.

But please, continue with your politically charged statements.

Try and stay on topic. This was a conversation about the safety aspect of doing away with inspections. It has nothing to do with politics in New Jersey or any other State.

Not sure yet, but within an hour from Bensalem, PA. Ill be looking in the next year as I finish up fixing the foreclosure I bought 5 long years ago.
I've had enough of the people and taxes over here. I wouldn't mind paying the taxes if I was getting something that you PA people aren't, but from working the past 10 years in PA I know the only thing I'm missing is the money in my pocket.

I may agree/disagree with some of your stances, but I won't comment so we can keep this politic free.

What I will say is that if the roads prove to be just as safe as the gov is saying after we get rid of inspection then I am glad we got rid of another tax burden.

If it is really just that simple why are the other 22 states still throwing so much cash away with inspections?

I know its a bit of a thread jack but politics is what this whole board is about. You may think politics is shameful - it is not. If you are of a differing view, you may want to say, "You are dissing my political views and I don't like that."

Just saying... and to that point, IMO one of the best things about this social experiment we call 'TacomaWorld' is that we have so many different views that exist under one roof.

For example - On faction likes 1984 solid axles an another wants to be able to have a/c and a truck that looks like it should be in a magazine.

    ... carry on... :)

And on a serious note... regardless of your views - this is just a very good reminder to drive defensively.

I rode motorcycles on and off road for years and my life was always threatened by some of the nicest, best maintained cars - people that were not paying attention or could not see or anticipate where I may have been.

If all people drove cars like motor officers drive bikes, we would have fewer accidents.

    They do this by:

    Not being in blind spots
Keeping a safe air space around your vehicle and don't worry about the guy that just has to be in front of you
Merge as though the other party was someone you admire
Travel with enough distance and control to keep your vehicle under control in emergency situations
    etc.

So - we can all do our part during these belt tightening days and then work locally to get the type of social environment that you want to live in by participating in the decision making or do what you can to cope with the society that lives around you.

    Thank you!

They are saying it's going to be the responsibility of the local police to issue tickets to car owners that have violations, Only cars 5 years old will need to get the emission test done every 2 years.
