Again, thanks to @bvbull200 for getting me back into broadening my horizons.

Decided to add two more to the collection...

Rebecca Creek came highly recommended from a friend. 1792 just pops up a bunch so went with that as well. Only had the 1792 so far. Neat and warm was a bit too powerful for me, pretty harsh bite. Added a couple cubes and mellowed out real nice. I could see it being a repeat customer.

Also, sorry I can't give good descriptions of notes and flavors :anonymous: for me, it's either drinkable or not. :D I'm a simpleton

This weekend I was at a friends who regularly gets to tour the world for work. His latest trip took him to Tasmania where he grabbed a bottle of Overeem Sherry Cask Whisky... I have never tasted something better, it was warm and smooth. Reminded me so much of Werther's Original caramel candy. Just smooth and buttery texture, simply incredible. So I go home to look it up to find it's only available in Australia (for what I can find) and is a cool $218 a bottle...

Wow! What a lineup. Sounds like either an unforgettable or un-rememberable night, depending on how big the pours were .

    What was your favorite?

That Corryvreckan is really challenging, but really good. Not for everyone, but I LOVE the stuff. I think I'm down to my last few pour :(.

Can't say I've had the Rampur, but you have me intrigued.

Go snag that ECBP while you can! Really hard to get a hold of that stuff around here. I haven't had that batch, but the B517 and B518 that I've tried were excellent. I'd expect the same from that C918.

This is a weird bourbon. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.

Well, yeah. It says "truly unique" right there on the label.

I really dig that Campfire. Very unique.

That Empire sounds unique, too. I've never heard of it, but just based on the label description, I'm going to seek out a bottle.

1792 has a whole line of product. You ought to grab a 1792 Full Proof if you come across one.

    I didn't have a lot of time to research it in the store, but I've read up on it a bit since I saw it. I'll swing by today if I can to see if they have any left, but holy cow are some places charging a substantial markup! TW was about $60. This is what I see on line for other places;

$60 is about what you should pay for it.

Not hard to get on secondary for $75-85, though, if you ever really need a bottle. Old labels a little more. I'd say it is almost worth it for the B518 batch, but that's Booker's territory ;).

The B517 won whiskey of the year in 2017, so a rush started on it. It became hard to find and prices started inflating for anyone not selling at MSRP.

I was totally shocked that a local ABC Store ordered and actually got this in for me. Bought two of the three that come in the case. Retail here is $59.99, but I've seen some outlandish markups on it lately.

I'm still on an EH Taylor hunt right now. As to be expected, striking out with much frequency.

Did get a line on a place that has some Whistlepig Bespoke finished in Pinot Barrels. Sounds intriguing...

Yeah wasn't cheap. My local liquor store had both in stock. Hibiki was about $95 and Toki was $40 ish. No idea if thats more than msrp or not
