Well the trip would be worth it to drive through other states. Cali might be a let down. But hey. It’s an end point

Just avoid the big cities and it won't be a let down. The two big let downs about CA are the big city populations and the politics, if you're just visiting you can avoid both lol.

Its only a let-down if you let it be. Just like anywhere else on this damn rock, problems exist. Like quite a few other states, some very cool scenery and places to experience here. Hell, your GF is out here not too mention many of us. You ever find yourself in the Bay Area, @Sperrunner will make you a kick ass pineapple pizza and we'll all get together for some good food and drink (did @BartMaster1234 turn 21 yet?)

That goes for any of you - ever out here, let me know.

Twice in one day just this Saturday...but I drove a few hundred miles.

If I'm not doing any wheeling for a couple weeks I can go over 7 days in-between fill ups - I get like 14mpgs lately but being only 5 miles from work really helps offset that burden

OK, I was tagged in this, checked Mechanicjohn's profile and no traffic in a month, but there is no way I'm reading 32 pages of replies since (this is why I don't participate in BS threads- I have better things to do than sit here with my face buried in a browser). Did/does anyone know the answer? I should be able to modify the parts if need be, but would love to be able to bolt them up when I pick them up.

I get about 4 round trips from home to work in the cruiser. In the Taco I get over a week. 18mi commute with some stop and go access roads. I will miss that about it. Last time I managed to get over 287mi out of a tank headed to go wheel. It may not have been a race truck but loaded truck vs loaded truck the 4 banger got good mileage.

4cyl and v6 have different trans x-member locations, that's about as much as I know.

I miss those days of ~300 mile tanks...I realized recently too that I drive my truck a lot harder on the highway than I did when I first got it, back then I wouldn't go over 65 and stayed in the slow lane. These days I cruise in the fast lane if I can at ~75. Drops the mpgs like crazy.
