There used to be Bent Bike, but they closed down. Nowadays your best bet is Ebay.

Why use DOM when galvanized conduit is so inexpensive?

It'd be nice to finish the job before dieing from zinc oxide inhalation.

Does anybody have any recommendations on sandblasting shops? I really want to get my bumpers clean before I put on the POR 15

I have bought to much DOM tubing and the best place and prices I have found are Onlinemetals.com
Hands down check it out, then think about how much your time is worth. Most of the time they were cheaper then the few places I know like Metal Shorts in Tukwila. Plus ups would deliver it in a day or 2. They also will do Will calls at the shop in Ballard, but you still order and pay online. Plus they also have other metals stainless, C.r.e.w, box tubing ect.

Por15 doesn’t stick well to clean surfaces. If you sand blast I’d get it powder coated at the same place or just a couple cans of primer and rattle can

Team Tube in kent was better, but the best spot I've found so far is actually a scrap yard that dabbles as a steel yard in fife. Interwest Metals.

EDIT: Holy fuck bawls, it's 5 times more at online metals. :ohsnap:

No shit! Add in the hr I would have to leave early, and getting Chinese Dom that has shitty spring back in a bend. Online metals use to be maybe 50c more a foot. Which was USA Dom. I do remember 6-8ft chunks were the proper price, but 10 or 12ft was higher cost.

I just went throught the checkout process again @JimSnell. Seems about right for new sticks, at 25 bucks for a 6-8ft cut. Thats around 5$ a foot. For all the bends we put it through the consistent spring back was a must, along with having documented mill certs. Im not saying its the cheapest, but then again I dont see buildings a roll cage or frame out of say black pipe a good move.

My partner that lived in anacortes would have to take a whole day off work, and drive to Olympia or throw a few more bucks down at onlinemetals. Last time I purchased was 3 years ago at $4.80a ft or 3.20 for China stuff. Not every thing works for everyone though right!

Update on the "thieves suck" post a few days ago. More fraud at Best Buy (retards didn't think to prevent accessing the new account the same exact way), and now I can add a few thousand dollars at Lowe's to the list too. All around Boise, all in person and looking up accounts with picture ID. Grand total is over $5,000 now. Thankfully none of it is my responsibility, but it still sucks wasting time and energy dealing with it, and ultimately we all pay a higher price for goods to cover their losses. I'm hoping the police reports actually turn into something now, but I doubt it.

So folks, if you have "retailer store" accounts, lock that shit down! Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, Macy's, Nordstrom, any place that issues a store card and allows you look up the account to make charges. Add "two factor" options where you can, like having to provide a pin/passcode as well as the photo ID and other details to access the account.

Might have to book a trip to Boise and hunt a motherfucker down.....:infantry:
