    @turbodb

Here are the brackets I was talking about. They are a bit more complex to allow different options, but you could do something simplier (no antenna options)

    https://yodateq.com/products/dlmm-fj80

Good photos here and install: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/an...eation-80-series-ditch-light-brackets.804893/

That said, keep in mind our mirrors aren't flush. They have a small lip along the bottom of the mount, so that will either need modified or it'll be fine..no idea.

Should be easy to replicate though not having a Plasma will make it difficult to make a center hole thats a triangle. I think you could probably make something that just bolted to the bottom two mounting bolts and came out from there. Then use a washer or something for the top point to make things flush.

Never seen those before, I like that spot for light mounts. I wonder how they hold up with time. I would think you could just drill a hole in the center large enough to get the mirror/light wires through if you couldn't cut the triangle out completely.

    Probably.

I still think the angle out doors and mirrors are kind of makes it more difficult than the LC. But not really certain of that

Howdy everyone....Random stuff, for a random thread. Few questions about Cheyenne (and surrounding areas to live) for those that are residents, locals or know the areas well.
We (wife, I, dog) have a possibility to be relocated to Cheyenne for her job. We're excited about the adventure. Both love the west and were trying to get moved out for about 5 years now. Both east-coast (PA) natives and I travel a fair amount.

Anyway, What are some nice areas to look at? Houses are kind of high, but some are getting you 5-65 acres. Obvious nice places for wheeling and adventures. Tons of parks within a day or so drive, and lots of open land. I like to shoot-long and short ranges, hunting would be re-learned out west, pilots license and other items on the docket. We have property taxes, sales tax, income tax and one of the higher gas taxes....smh. Won't get into the politics of it, but yeah. I know there is no income tax, and the sales tax is the same...easy enough. Mainly concerned about housing, perm and temp. Fortunately we'd be moving mid-end of summer I think, so no snow concerns(hopefully). Any input or possible time to chat in the next few weeks would be great. Thanks and even if we don't get out there permanently, still going to road trip a few runs out west!

    Thanks folks!

Cheyenne can be fairly windy so finding a spot that lessens that would be good. I would say rent for awhile to find out what works for you when you get here. The wind and cold winter's can really offset the perks of being here for some, so before investing too much you might just see if Cheyenne is a good fit. You might look into Fort Collins Colorado. It's a 40 min drive but offers a whole lot more and quite frankly is just a nicer looking town IMO. If you wouldn't mind the commute to work I guess.

I have never lived in Cheyenne. But it is one of the winder spots in Wyoming and that's saying something. Not talking a nice afternoon breeze here but 65 mph cross wind stuff.

It'll be cold cold cold and snowy in the winter. But it's like that everwhere out here so just be ready for a much harsher winter is all. It's worth it. But not for everyone as Brett said. Renting might be a good idea for the first year. Especially through a winter, then find out if it was a normal winter..worse..or more chill from locals to compare to what you'll be dealing with in the future.

While the south east corner isn't what I'd call the best place in Wyoming, you would be close to a lot of stuff in Colorado without the coloroado BS. And there is some great country down there in Wyoming as well. I'm just not as familiar with it.

Ugh I would. That bit of interstate traffic would be horid haha

I think once you head north out of foco the interstate is pretty open. It's just between there and Denver that is heavy traffic. Granted I've only traveled that part a few times compared to the foco-denver portion so idk.

Yeah its not too bad the closer you are to Cheyenne. But man as you get closer to Foco...ugh.

Thanks for the quick info guys -
Not looking forward to the wind, but have read about that. Spent time in the Springs, and have driven around Denver/Ft. Collins. No interest in Foco - too liberal and expensive. lol
Anyway - thanks again and look forward to finding more info either way.

OK, does this sound like a shot wheel bearing or something else?

Installing Tundra rotor and caliper on the 4Runner, so had everything off. Then, the following:
    • Hub seems to spin fine, no up/down or in/out play.
    • Installed Tundra rotor and used two lugs to snug it on so I could install the caliper. NOW it's hard to spin the rotor. Like really hard at certain points in the rotation
    • Loosened the two lugs, and it spins reasonably freely again.
Got everything installed, and wheel back on and torqued to spec
    • wheel is reasonably hard to turn (from my experience). Definitely doesn't "freespin" like the other side.
    • No apparent play when I torque on the tire (up/down, in/out)
    • No clicking as the wheel spins

Strange bit to me is that it seems affected by the lugs being tight...

Almost sounds like the rotor itself is causing the problem. With just the caliper on it, was there any rubbing noise when you spun it?

    Is the caliper fully compressed?

Nope that went to its new owner. I did just clean the stock intake and put all fresh gaskets in including on the injectors.

No rubbing or noise when it's spun with just the caliper on. Also, I took the rotor off and
    • the hub spins reasonably OK by itself (same as when the rotor is not lug-ed on...by which I mean the lugs are just finger tight)
    • when I put lugs on just the hub (no caliper), it once again gets hard to spin.

    • No. Caliper not compressed at all. This happens when the caliper is not even installed. (as well as when it is, and is uncompressed)

If you put the rotor from the other side on does it happen?
