Nice to see someone being realistic. Both are possible but it does take a little brain power to get the 24. Now is it worth driving like that? Depends on the person.

Fwiw I had 2 different 2018 Tacomas (SR5 DCSB 4x4 Base Model, zero options & TRDOR DCLB 4x4 Tech/Premium Packages) and I couldn't get better then 16-16.9MPG on either one with 90% of driving highway in the 55-65MPH range and babying the throttle. I wasn't impressed at all, and thought I'd get much better. In my '17 F-150 Crew Cab short bed 4x4 with the (larger) 3.5L turbo V6 and 10-speed automatic I was getting 21-22MPG's on the same commute.

factory side step, didn't get a chance to do anything to it yet, haven't even got to put it in 4 wheel mode yet. Lame, but I work a lot.
Out here in LA I average 20, but I have been trying not to step on it since I’m going to put it up for sale in a week or two. I have a 44 mile highway round trip, but sometimes it’s stop and go. 2018 4x4 off-road extra cab

I just bought my SR5 a few days ago and I used it for the first time today to go to work. I noticed if i kept it at 65-70 I was getting about 22mpg. I am happy with that. At 80 mph, i was getting about 19. Happy with that too. Truck only has 150 miles on it, so I am sure it will get a little better with break in. My friend has a 18 TRD and his shifts like CRAP on the highway compared to mine. I can be cursing at 80 and will be under 3,000 RPMS, he'll be at 4,000 the entire time.

Just enjoy the truck. Just drive it. If anyone here is worried about mpg and feathering the gas to get better gas mileage, truck is not for you.
I knew it going in a truck is not going to give great gas mileage. I like driving it. It's a nice truck. Not once thought about gas mileage. A couple times checked average gas mileage. The mpg on the window sticker is just a number what you CAN expect not you WILL get.
You MAY get better but most get less and all depends on driving habit, location and temperature.
The 911 gets maybe 10 if I'm lucky and much worse if boosting it but not once thought " fuck, this thing sucks on gas".
Just drive the thing. If gas concerns you, sell the truck.

Check out Fuelly stats for the vehicle of interest. That’s going to get you real world mileage. Scale up/down a little based on your locale and driving habits.

When did you buy the truck? Based on your one other posts, truck was purchased on March 29th.
