209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

I'm just saying my truck budget for the year is way closer to replacement nut than supercharger. But, being me, I did just add that link to my truck stuff folder for future reference.

 

Sweet! Going to call Modesto Toyota tomorrow through, as $10 shipping for a nut is a bit ridiculous.

Makin some progress on some shit.

 

And found a set of BFG 285/70R17 for hella cheap. I'll need to think about replacing them (they'll get me for a couple months), but now I'm at the right size and I can replace 2 at a time instead of 4 all at once.

The cheap mud tires I was running were driving me fucking bonkers.

I think the truck looks bad ass with the 285s. And oh my God, they ride nicer and quieter.

Anybody wanna trade me their stock 2nd gen Tacoma exhaust for a flow master? I'm sick of how loud it is. I'm either going to get rid of it and go back to stock or add some pipe behind the flow master in Hopes it quiets down a bit. Doesn't help that it ends right under the back seat because I didnt have any pipe to add after the flowmaster lol

 

my stock 2nd gen exhaust is just sitting in the backyard. tempting to try out another aftermarket exhaust. note my stock exhaust was cut to dump after the axel.

I know, I know... Probably seems like an April fool's joke, but it's for reals.

 

@Motofox... I can now personally confirm that Swier Tire in Ripon is legit.

@Papadave418 recommended them. Just left there. They are the real deal. Cool folks and did the alignment with SPC upper control arm adjustments no problem.

And they weren't cool just because I know Dave... They didn't know I knew Dave until after it was done and paid for.

I was stalling on ordering my parts due to a phone call from a potential employer today. After hearing them out, I think im going to turn them down for a couple reasons and stick with my dead end (but high paying) company for the time being. So i may just pull the trigger and commit to working some weekends this summer.

 

Between getting rid of the mud terrains and getting an alignment...
