Last time I was there (2013ish) we didn't see a soul around. I certainly didn't have a permit for anything haha.

Wasn't the asphalt added by a local back in the 60's or something? I remember reading about that. Or is there more now?

I've been fortunate on that front. I use a custom alignment shop here in my area. All they do are brakes, alignment and tires. Mainly a race/vintage/custom shop but they also do trucks. Several of the local TW folks use them and that's how I found them. They have no issue with working with aftermarket UCAs and will adjust the SPCAs as part of the alignment process.

If you're having trouble finding a shop, look at custom/specialty shops. You'll pay more but as I see it - I dropped a good amount of coin on tires and suspension, I want my alignment done right.

Put in the A-1 Electric windows in my 2000 5-Lug yesterday. It was a bit of a pain due to my own mistakes, but if I had to -redo it a second time, it would have been much easier.

I attempted to install actuators for remote entry, but I cant seem a find a place to mount it to.

What exactly do you have here? I'm looking at doing similar, Bilstein 5100s seem popular, but spring choice is huge.

Really just depends on how much lift you want and how much front end weight you have and/or plan to add on...looks like he went with Eibach springs I think, not sure which ones though. But OME 880 - 883s are pretty common on here for anywhere from 0 - 3 in of lift

Yeah you need a day permit. Always have. like 24 a day. Can always go in the back way though so yeah. whatever.

No there was more done. The entrance got redone pretty good in 2014 Id guess? or 15. The guy at the office when we were just there said a group has been complaining about how is a 7 trail now(not really) and how they wanted to make the whole thing a 4-5 to make it accessible for fullsize trucks. The range just laughed at the idea thankfully but you never know..

In the Pro version they have an option called overlays. You can purchase mvum maps that show up almost like a track would and is color coded to designate usage. They also have gmu maps if you're a hunter, boundary maps for public and private lands, the Charles wells books. All that is in the overlay menu.

As for Backcountry XE I was hoping to use last week but ran out of time to get it sorted out. Being able to sync with your computer will be nice for creating trips. I was playing around with it last night and tried to import all the kml files from Trailsoffroad in CO and it locked up the app on my tablet. Went to open it again and it kept force closing after a few minutes. I had to unistall it and reinstall to get it to function again. It is still in beta so I'm not giving up yet.

90% of the time they just need a good wash after a trip. Spray them out good and they stop screeching

Ill give them a deep clean and see if that does it. I did get them really dirty the week before.

Yes I had a shop cut and weld the 3rd Gen tailgate skin onto the 1st Gen tailgate shell , they had to do it in two diff pieces (TACOMA part & the lock) as the height of the 3rd gen tailgate is taller than the 1st Gen

I thought it was from the energy suspension rack bushings. But Sounds like it might be the Icon heims

Help!! Need recommendations for a replacement power steering rack. I’m not shelling out the money for an OEM, just need something that will work and not crush my wallet. I just spent a good bit replacing the suspension, (UCA, LCA, UBJ, LBJ, 5100s, rack bushings), only to have the rack literally blow as I came back from having it aligned...

The bearings in the lower eyelets of the coilovers are very much prone to squeaking and creaking when they get dirty over time, I recently replaced the bearings in my Kings for this reason. They were noisy as hell and even started to cause a clunking sound/feel when I'd accelerate from a stop. Hitting them with dry lubricant helped for awhile but eventually replacing them is the way to go, and hitting them with a hose after every wheeling trip to clean the dirt out.

I was able to narrow it down to the bearings in the lower eyelets by pushing down on the fender/front side of the truck, could recreate the sound pretty easily
