I got an RTT a couple years ago one night I was on the beers and said eff it. I’m almost embarrassed to put it on my truck now.

Frig, probably not much of a difference by the time we make these trucks the way we want them.

100% love these comments lol. I'm about to just get some derrick stickers and a Oilfield trash vinyl on the truck and call it a day. Honestly I really just want my Tacoma to preform like I thought it would. I didnt find this site till after buying the truck. I think that ovtune is what I'm looking for because to be honest I off road maybe once a month and and I'm not trying to look like a douchebag with a super lifted truck ,giant rims and loud exhaust (sorry if that's your thing to each there own).

Dream truck is 33's with 3'' lift nice steel bumper with a brush guard and a descent exhaust. Nothing fancy but I can see this site corrupting me into buying more mods than need be lol

Could always trade it in for a 2nd gen, supercharge that, and then go down the s/c mods rabbit hole. Thats what i did and now ive got v8 power with a 6spd manual

You should check out the OVtune thread, it sounds like what your looking for. I’ve read through most of it and everyone seems to be quite pleased with it compared to the factory tune.

Try just pushing the ECT button and put the shifter in S mode. Toyota had to make them meet EPA standards which left them a little weak in the knees. But gave us the tools to over-ride. It may not be as good as ovtune but it helps.
