So I have to rant about this... o7 Taco I've had for nine years. This is a US truck, and I live in canada eh. Recall on leaf springs took me two and a half years to get toyota to replace because they said unless it's the spring on the side of the gas tank. I lied and they took it in and replaced 7.5 hours later. I also received a notice for that recall. So 2017 heard about the frame recall? Canasa will not replace the frame because it a US truck. My taco has the canada approved sticker on the door, they basically said so. I have had three friends take there trucks in and basically had everything replaced from under the cab and box to the ground. So they did brakes, rotors, all brake lines, fuel lines, shocks ,leaf springs you name it and it was replaced. I've been fighting with toyota canada for two years. Anyone one in Taco land know how I can get canada to replace it.

Welcome to TW. It's my understanding that the frame has to be deemed needing replacement, pending dealer inspection. Not just "I wanna new frame 'cause there's a recall." SO, is your frame bad?

If your frame qualifies, it is my understanding that warranty is transferable across the border. Who is standing in your way? Is it Toyota Canada? Or is it a local dealer who just doesn't want to mess with it?
