Speaking of, I have plans to get my roof rack and camper shell tracks mounted 4/18.

We have air gas and praxair. Will shop around. If its $29 that's awesome!

 

The gas last quite a long time. I don't even shop for the best price anymore.

I think he wanted to know what size wire were you using.

I have no fear of HF wire. They only sell the small rolls so there is a good chance it hasn't been sitting around corroding.

 

Well metal core, solid, Flux core.

 

I assumed he was wanting gas so flux core was not part of the conversation.

 

well i'm gonna be running shielding gas so flux core is out. probably solid.

Have no idea what size that titanium is. It's all new to a new guy. Most guys start out with odds and ends from friends and you just make it work. Just seeing what he has. He answered. No big deal

Sometimes I forget that with the internet, we can overload people with information.

Then again, I feel jealous because of the fact I didn't have access to so much info so quickly. Had beg a lot of skilled welders to explain to me what I was doing wrong. And it took a long time. Sometimes it was days before I could get someone to tell me how to make my welds better.

We can post pics to the web and have feedback on what we are doing almost instantly. It's a great time to learn new skills.
