I'm planning a road trip down to VA (or NC is weathers bad) late April for a week. My intent for the trip is to camp (free dispersed sites) and ride. Does anyone have any recommendation on trails or campsites? For trails I am an advanced all mountain rider. For campsites I am stock Sport DCLB, so wherever i can get to with that. I would even be down for a ride hook up.

That’s a lot of geography... can you narrow it down to a nearby city-ish area?

Since I'm working close to Augusta, GA, I decided to hit FATS. It's been 10 years since I was last here. It's even better than I remembered.

Easy Sunday Cruise yesterday. Sometimes its the simple rides that are so fulfilling. Rode some new trails and was able to log some mileage with the pup

That far North is a little outta my wheelhouse... that said; I've heard nothing but good feedback from my riding/racing buddies about Douthat State Park in that area.

Poverty Creek and Carvin's cove were our go-to's while I was at VT.

Sweeeet! Love dvo stuff. Once it’s dialed in I’m sure you’ll love it.
You might be fine, but check that your external reservoir isn’t contacting the tube strapped to the frame on full compression.
Easiest way to check is let all air out and compress suspension. I had the same issue on mine.

Things are starting to thaw out around here finally

The DVO Topaz2 is designed specifically for the Giant Maestro Suspension system. (I still checked clearance as per their setup instructions) but since this was developed with Giant the clearance and function is primo. I set it to 30% sag, 195psi in the air can with one volume spacer, 180 psi in the negative chamber. And 7 clicks of (-) rebound. A quick 7 mile ride yesterday made me instantly fall in love with the setup

i love my Kuat. I bought the extension last Dec from Moosejaw during their one day only double points sale. i havent used it yet though. ill prob use it this Oct on my next mtb/camping trip.

Pic is from my last Oct trip: Houston to Santa Fe, NM, Moab, Salida, Fruita, Co Springs and Pikes Peak, Great Sand Dunes and back home.

ive tried all sorts of bike rack setups. aside from the extra weight the Kuat is my fave rack. i plan ongetting the swing out Kuat arm in the next MJ sale.
