Will do. I'll probably wait until my next scheduled service which will be about 3,000 miles. I'm 04A60 currently, going back to stock until you would have time to evaluate what changed would really suck.....

I’ll find out next week. I have my first oil change today and I have to schedule that appointment for a few days from now. (They have to order parts apparently)

My 2018 is at the dealer getting routine maintenance done. I asked them to update the ECU if there was a new update. I am on 04A61 now. I'll check today when I pick my truck up. Not saying I can trust them to update even if there is a newer ECU.
If they do update will it mess up my current 87 perf. tune? If it's going to mess things up, I can call and tell them to leave it as is.

You just have to reflash the tune to the ecm

If the update changes your ECU to a new number that is not supported by OVTune you will not be able to flash or use any of the tunes.

Just curious if the gear lock tune has been released for 04B03. I was able to download the tune through flash manager but I haven’t seen a pissy from Mat saying it was officially released.

If you can get it on Flash Manager it is released.

Well they didn’t have the replacement part (tss sensor) so I’ve gotta come back. Didn’t change my ECU but I’m not 100% sure if they even touched it. I’ll find out for sure when I’m done with this in a day or two.

If they have to change the sensor that usually means that the ECM needs new sensor calibration AKA new ECU ID.

Awesome. Not even kidding I've never seen so many bug updates for a vehicle in my life.

Not to worry the new ecu (if there is) will get added to flash manager asap.

I have been running 87 base for about 4 tanks of gas and I am wanting to check out 93 base. I am at an empty tank of gas right now so I can make the switch. Is it better to flash on the empty tank and then drive to the gas station to fill up, fill up and then flash, or does it not really matter?

Fill up before flashing and make sure you've driven enough that any residual 87 in your fuel lines has been burned up before flashing to 93. If you want to be really conservative, use up that whole first tank of 93 and fill back up before flashing. When I tried the 93 tune, I simply ran the tank down to nearly empty, filled up with 93, drove home (about 10 miles) and flashed.

I can get 30 miles after the dash displays zero miles before empty. YMMV

So, do you know if it would go any further? Asking for a friend.

There used to be a rumor that driving with little fuel in the tank for extended periods was bad for the life of electric fuel pumps. The pump was cooled by being submerged in the fuel. I don’t know if that’s still true. I hope not because I rarely fill up until the “remaining miles” is in single digits (or lower) and the dash is begging me to “Refuel Soon”.

Sorry, back to gossiping about Mat’s 1.06.

As far as I know nothing has changed,I would avoid running it that low regardless.

So here is a question. I have a 2016 and my ECU was 04B02 prior to flashing the 87 base tune a couple of days ago. I love it so far, but I am going to be going back in to the dealer in the next month and was considering asking to get upgraded to 04B04. If I do that, can they do that from the current tuned state? Or am I better flashing back to 04B02 stock before taking it in and letting them do the upgrade, then flashing a new tune over it?
