There was a fire off the side of the freeway with no responders. Thought I'd do my civic duty but was thwarted.

Fire? It's fucking wet out there. FWIW, saw a bunch of '911 down' notifications on the electronic billboards when heading down the DV last week....depending on where you are maybe it's related that?

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
AT&T service around Reno sucks (not that it has anything to do with 911 not answering). From Day 1 up here, LTE bars are really flakey and spotty. I finally switched over to FirstNet, to see if things would be better on Band 14. Out past Wadsworth, it helps. In town, no dice. If I drop from LTE to 4G, I get more bars and better service.

Does Verizon suck less around here? But, if that's my biggest complaint since moving here (and it is), I got nothing to complain about. Guess I should start filling out my ATF Form 1 so I can have some SBR goodness.

Verizon works great for me both around town and out in the wild. My company has a plan with AT&T because they’re cheap but also got everyone little Verizon flip phones since they have better coverage.

I tried Sprint once and it sucked.

ATT definitely sucks in NV. Verizon is much better. At least when I'm out wheeling I have excuses for not checking in with the wife.

Any local peeps looking for a 2012-15 front bumper? We just had a cancellation on a completely done and ready to go Defender front bumper. Already powder coated and ready to mount up.
Let us know, figured we'd give the locals first crack at it. Not often we have extras ready to go coated and all

All the window tint discussion was timely, just saw Greg at Custom Edge today for some tint on the wife's ride. $140 for ceramic on the front doors and I'll probably be heading back in to see them in a month or two for remote start on the Taco.

@stickyTaco Audi Q7? Does it have the auto dimming rear view and side mirrors on it? Wife wants to tint the windows on ours but I'm a little afraid it'll mess with the functionality of the mirrors and I like the auto dimming feature

Didn’t mess with the auto dim on my civic if that helps any.

Yup, Q7 with auto dimming mirrors. We drove the Q7 and GX460 back to back and ended up in the Audi.

The sensor for the auto dimming mirrors is on the rear view mirror and picks up light entering the windshield vs the rear window. As long as you don't add more tint to the rear window or tint the windshield it shouldn't impact the sensor at all.

I used to think the Auto Dimming was overkill but then I had it on my forester and loved it. Really cool and practical, especially if you don’t want to run dark tint for night time driving.

Yup. Auto dimming on anything that you can actually see out the back window is great. My taco has an auto dimming mirror and it didn't do shit with the shell on it since you can't really see out the back. It's even worse now with the tire back there.

You a slow drinker or something? :drunk:

We try to hang on to vehicles for at least 10 years.

*edit...just realized that you were replying to Eric...guess that means it's time to mix another drink and give up on this internet thing for the evening.

U guys make me feel like a hoarder. I still have my Civic that I bought new in 1995. I love that car, but its been time to let it go, just so I have more space in the garage, but I am having a hard time letting it go.

Totally get where you're coming from Keith. I've got a couple rigs that I don't really 'need' but am attached to and can't seem to let go. Our 4th gen 4runner for instance... Love the rig but hardly use it. Kind of rare/lost breed with the V8. Now its edging in to be a bit outdated to be a useful marketing tool for the shop, but also has so much done to it that theres no way we could sell for what its 'worth' either due to it approaching 15 years old(but only 112k miles!). So we hold on to it and brainstorm all sorts of crazy plans for it that will likely never actually materialize. :notsure:

Suggestions for a place to hardwire a dash cam? Would rather pay someone who understands electrical/running the wires via the interior better than me haha
