Whats up guys. So i want a 6 inch lift.

I contacted procomp directly to see if they finance- They dont. But they said that 4wheelparts(one of there vendors) Does. I was like ok, well they have some bad reviews but hey ill try.

So i call them up, get the lift i want, and then he trys to get me an approval. So he says i need to call up gemoney to answer a couple questions. I call them up, and go thru about 45 minuts of bullshit automated crap. Finally talk to someone, and they said they could approve me for a 1500 dollar increase. I said ok and called dave at 4wheelparts back. He then sets me all up and says im good to go, and ill see the lift in 3 days.

30 minutes later he calls back and says, this account is not working. I was like well its a real account, i just got approved for the amont of the lift. Then finally says o sorry we just got a number mixed up. Your good to go. SO im all excited getting ready for my lift

Then.............. He calls back 30 minutes later. Hey chris it looks like this account is not gonna be able to work for purchasing the lift. I was like WHAT??????? You specifically told me that this is what i needed. I got a 1500 dollar increase just for this. He was like well we tried putting it into the system and it wont let us bill it for some reason. So im like whatever, ill shop somewhere else.

I was pissed all evening thru work, just because i went and had to get another credit approval to get this loan ammount on a card that they said they accepted. BTW. The card is a Carecredit card. Mainly used for medical stuff, but some retailers accept it. Like 4wheelparts told me they did. Its bullshit

Sorry for the long ass rant

sounds like the person you were dealing with didn't really know what was going on. maybe you should have asked to talk to a manager or something?

Financing a lift kit is probablly not a good idea anyway.

On the other hand I have no room to talk.

Some of the things I put on a CC would make some faint. First thing that comes to mind was a brand new 2003 Yamaha R1, whole bike went on a card. But over the years I learned my lessons in regards to CC's and just wait and pay cash unless it's an emergency or buying/ordering something online.

I think credit cards are a good idea- it ensures you that if you were to suddenly die, your last vacation and all of your most recent major purchases were on the house. :D

Jesus this thread makes my head hurt

Do NOT put a lift on a credit card unless you already have the cash on hand and will pay the card off in full before the end of the grace period. Paying 10 to 20% interest on toys is just stupid.

Hate to say it, but so true. If you can't pay for it in cash it's not worth it. I got screwed up with credit when I was about the same age. Took me years to get straight again. Now I have a debit card and an AMEX, which has to be paid in full at the end of the month. And after you get the lift, two months later you'll wish you had the money back. 1500.00 will go along way with dating, and I prefer girls to metal parts any day!

no, the lift was 1500. I got approved for the 1500, and now they say they cant except it. So i pretty much just got 1500 bucks on a credit card i cant use.

O well i think what i want to do is sas. Obviously ill have to save up quite a bit of money for it. But ive been talking to wyatt over on rocksolidtoys.com. There is so much info over there, and a bunch of badass sas trucks

Well, if you can't get 6" lift why not 2.5" or 3" which is cheaper . Then upgrade when you have more money. I have 2.5" lift and Im happy .

The people at 4 Wheel Parts are pretty retarded.
IMO if you have to finance the lift you can't afford it. Be patient save your money and pay cash. Are you also buying new wheels and tires?

Ironically it was just announced that the NY Attorney General is probing GE for the abuse and lending practices of its Carecredit card.

Sorry about the "probe" word but that's what they said...

The "free BS crap" is pretty nice, buy my gorceries with my kroger card (cash back) everything else with my starwoods AMEX. Haven't paid for a hotel room in years thanks to the Amex, get free upgradres too. If I didn't use the cc's to pay I would use my debit & not get shit. You got to have self control to only buy what you can pay each month though or you will dig a huge hole pretty quick, been there older & wiser now. Credit is a tool, like any tool it only performs as well as the operator. :)
