Exactly! It can be used on a large number of vehicles. The 3rd gen is coming too!

I think a ticket being submitted to HPT to define the traction and stability controls with emphasis on being able to disable them would do just that!

I think this was already covered, but not sure if a trouble ticket was already submitted officially.

SAI DELETE, SAI DELETE, SAI DELETE

Somebody else with a CNC and a good attitude can make a small fortune on block off plates later, but it seems that software manipulation has been the largest hurdle.

No trouble ticket needed. You can delete the SAI, rear O2’s and more, now!

For anyone interested in just having these simple diagnostic changes, I’ll make them for you for the price of 4 credits and shipping your Ecu to me. That way you do not have to invest in the whole system for a simple change. *Off-road use only*

Awesome! I'll take you up on that but would like to wait for a flash tune for CAI, performance y-pipe and exhaust, too, once that evolves and becomes available. I'd want to pay you for the time and effort if you'd be willing to do all that.

Damn, this is YUUUGE. Now to find some block off plates so I can remove the tumor on the passenger side of the engine.

The data in that sheet is all that I need to get those injectors dialed in.

Don't you have these injectors as well, or are they a different size. If they are the same, I might still have the chart that we used for your tuning. Maaaaybe. 43.5 psi.

$199 for the HP Tuners cable, $200 to flash it, + cost of tune.

Not sure exactly how that is so much "cheaper" than us. Unless you mean cheaper than iotech? Which doesn't have flash costs.

There is so much that we could do with the 4.0 Taco, the facts and reality is the amount of interest was extremely slim, from 2 years to now we have done "maybe" 100 trucks. Probably closer to 50.

I dont even mind sharing some tuning tips with you DIYers if you are interested in that instead of just trash talking us especially considering we went out and tried to make an option for everyone.

We started the 4.0 nearly 2 years ago and had dozens upon dozens of new ECUs to support that required opening them and soldering on the bench. Of course doing so is a slow process.

HP Tuners is a multi-million dollar company with practically infinite resources.

I'm glad to see you guys are having fun. Toyota ecus are weird when you get to see inside.

Like I said, more than happy to help how I can for anyone who might need a few tips.

I can come up with some quickly when we are ready. They could be made easily as a DIY but would be more difficult to make it in stainless.
If we have enough interest I will inquire about getting stainless steel watterjetted blockoff's made and I'll get the hardware sorted.

I appreciate that Matt as well as what you have done for us!
The other side of the coin is the fact that people have waited a long time and (I think) some still aren't sorted out.
This is just an outside observation from a non biased party.

There is nobody that I know still waiting except for recently ordered kits or kits that haven't shipped due to us being out of stock right now.

We will still offer our flash kits for people who want our tune, outside of that feel free to message us if you guys need any tips / do's / dont's about tuning the ecu. I've been doing toyotas since 2015, not much I haven't figured out at this point.

The good thing is there is some stuff in there you guys can do that we never can offer. (due to the EPA having their finger on the trigger ready to kill performance shops that offer that stuff).
