Yeah, when I was in Germany we had 1 of 3 active duty, CW5's certified for acrobatics, when I was put in charge of QC I saw the special inspection manual for inverted maneuvers and it was a doozy!

Our problem was guys over-torquing brand new (rebuilt) engines right before I got out.

 

I dislike you right now. I wish I could go back in time and at least try to get into a Apache. My dad flew Jayhawks in the Coast Guard. I didn’t want to do the whole military thing though.

When were you in Germany and which unit?

 

Hanau/ Fliegerhorst, 3/227th reflagged to 1/501st, during my 7 years there.

 

I know a couple of armt guys that were there around that time. They both have retired now but were in that unit.

I was in 6-6/2-159 in illesheim from jul 2006-dec 2010
