    Hi Everyone,

I have a 17 TRD Sport with a manual 6. Off the line in September of 2017 and purchased Nov 17 It's been a pretty good truck. A minor issue with the high idle during all four seasons.

Welcome to TW, be careful of what you read or you might discover issues with your trucks that aren’t even a real thing.

Thanks for the welcome and the heads up JKO1998,

I got enough problems with the truck and the dealership, I don't need to read into any other problems.

my 19' has a fast idle as well, have you tried giving it a little gas before you put in gear or while sitting, mine will rev up then settle down when I do that, hate my truck jerking when I put it in gear.

    Hi Jeaucl,

Giving gas doesn't help. Sometimes it makes it worse. It takes between 4-5 minutes before it settles down. It will rev at about 1200 rpm, with gas added sometimes pop up to 1300-1400. If I drive it after a couple of minutes for a about 5 minutes it will drop to 800-900. If I let it sit and idle it will drop to 600-700 by itself. I've talked to the dealership. They said they heard customer talk about this but there isn't anything they know to cause the problem. They said bring it in and they will have look at it. It needs to sit for several hours before it will act up again. I asked them to wait until the afternoon to check it out. Of course they brought it in the shop about 3 hrs after I dropped it off and couldn't find anything wrong. That was last July.
