    Congrats!

Just curious though, you said you've been contracting with them for a long time, why didn't you just raise your contract price? Or do you want the better job security and benefits and all that? I've been thinking of doing contracting work after I get my PMP and a few agile certs so just wanna hear from others who've contracted.

NC has the highest state gas tax in the SE, our inspections, property taxes and registrations a big protion goes towards roads. If you look at our state budget roads are up there above most everything else yet we still have lots of traffic issues and roads that need fixing.

What do you mean paying a gas tax. I thought ya'll had a state gas tax at the pumps for wayyyy longer than 3 yrs? Or is this a secondary gas tax?

I'm not an independent contractor, rather I work for a company that has a contract with the company I'll be going to work for. Benefits and all that are significantly better, too.

A couple years ago lawmakers implemented a gas tax that was supposed to go straight to road infrastructure improvements.. something like an extra 3cents per gallon every year for 3 years i think..

Ah gotcha so an increase from where you were but allotted to roadway improvement. Yeah that shit never really goes where it's supposed to.

That's about as close as it'll get. I could have been a lot more specific and given examples etc. It was a vague and blanketed statement. Don't get offended now.

    I heard about it!
    Excited

I used to be a huge Braves fan (being from ATL), but how they left Greenville-then again with Turner Field- dampened my enthusiasm for the franchise.
I’m more for Braves than anyone else, but not like I was.

Now, I call them the Cobb Braves.
    hahahahaha

So this happened last night. If you can’t tell in the picture this is an injured adult osprey. He decided to build a nest on one of our poles with a lot of stuff on it and he didn’t have much knowledge about electricity. So things happened and he got some feathers scorched.
