‘Didn’t do it as bad’ should have gone to a different dealer or test drive more to find one that it didn’t do it at all. Just sayin

I thought so too but I think some people are just more sensitive about this stuff. I worked at a toyota dealer when I bought my 3rd gen and had several customers SWEAR they had vibrations, excessive road noise, howls etc.... when I'd hop with one of the techs to check it out... totally normal, at least to us.

Even had a complaining customer drive MY 3rd gen (totally stock at the time) and he said "see!! yours does it too!"

I'm like, you mean you can feel the road sometimes?? Apparently I have the rear diff whine too but I don't think so, I hear something but I just consider it road noise and even then its quieter than both of my 1st gens and 2nd gen.

    Its not a Lexus.

OP not saying you're one of those people I'm just skeptical I've seen too many people complain about otherwise innocuous shit, if yours is actually unacceptably bad I feel for ya but seeing how its TWO in a row... just a guess and don't mean this as an insult but be honest, would your friends or loved ones describe you as ever so slightly OCD?? Just a tad, not calling you crazy or anything, but I've seen slightly OCD people be really bothered about things that other people just brush off.

Maybe my standards are just too low and I've learned to just ignore my whiny diff and vibrations :notsure:

Car. But I test drove every mid size truck
know at least 10 people with one and none of them have complaints. None. I know several with new Tacoma who can’t say the same. It’s a shame bc Tacoma used to be the best. Sorry you can’t realize that’s no longer the case.

I came from an IS250. It’s not that level but it’s honestly not that far off and huge improvement over my 2005 Tacoma. I also drive a MT that doesn’t scream at 4,000 rpm all the time…

It was number one for resale value again last year, I think F150 was 7th? 8th? Not saying F150 is a bad truck, I'm saying you seem like the kind of person who complains a lot.

Well if you purchased a vehicle for 35K and it acts like a 10K truck with 200K miles on it, you’d complain too.

Dude bought a brand new truck, hated it, traded it in for the same truck that had the same exact "issue" , just not as bad, and is mad at Toyota??

Sorry you hate your truck, but its probably you , not the truck. Lifes too short, get the F150.

I dunno, it’s just Tuesday, but I thought this maybe was appropriate to post here? That little guy reminds me of my 3rd gen.

I have a hard time understanding these posts. I test drove many Tacomas in different configurations and from different dealers. None of them vibrated or otherwise acted anything but tightly put together. It is either very bad luck or you are one very sensitive dude.

Not trying to be rude but it’s quite a change from a car, a Tacoma drives like a truck. I drove 2nd Gen for 6 years and thought it drove like a dream. I bought a Jetta to hold me over for a couple months when I was in an accident till I got my 3rd Gen. It was a pretty significant difference in ride quality, it was the first car I ever owned coming from a Jeep, an S10 a couple half tons. That Jetta rode waaaaayyyy better than the 2nd Gen and wayyyyy better than the 3rd I have now. After only driving it for a couple months it took quite a bit of adjusting getting back in the Tacoma. As many bells and whistles as they have now and fancy cruise technology and whatever. At the end of the day they are a truck and they’re gonna drive like a truck.
