Yes, I would install new pads while you are at it, its usually caused because they are low and moving around in place. I used the Weaver Platinum Ceramic pads from Advance Auto

The pads that are on it were put on about 3 months ago when I bought the truck. No telling what kinda pads the shop put on it though cause the whole ordeal including turning my rotors was only 55 bucks.

I had a major clunk felt like the front end was coming through the floor pans look for two day and finally found a 3/4" rock wedged between the top of the frame and the cab.

Are the rotors in spec after cutting?

I suppose they are. I would figure the the shop would have told me if they were needed. Or at least I hope they would. Lol

There is a minimum thickness which some people dont bother to measure. They figure they will just take them down until they look good, seen it too many times. I just buy new ones now and toss the old ones, they arent that expensive.

Yeah I use to work at a Napa a long long time ago. Lol. People use to get mad as hell when we couldn’t turn their 100,000 mile rotors. The shop that did mine is a pretty good shop when it comes to brakes. I say they are pretty good or they would have told me.

Ok so I’m so happy to say that I went and bought 2 more anti rattle clips and went ahead and got pins to but I added 2 more clips to my brake calipers and no more clunk. I would have never in my life thought that it would be that.

Picked mine up at O’rileys. 12$ for 2 sets of pins and a set of clips. Well worth it.

I’ve done lca bushings, uca bushings, alignment bolts, axles, and lower ball joints hunting this little clunk. Turns out 12 bucks fixed it. But now I have a rebuilt front end. Lol

This is HUGE, I’ve been trying to figure out what that thud is! Thought for sure it was a bushing or spring creaking or something. I’ll be heading to Oreilleys this weekend! Big thanks!

Man I hope it’s the same thing for you. Took all of 5 minutes to add them and worth a million bucks for my sanity. Lol. I’ve literally changed everything on my front end except for steering rack bushings and they were next on the list. I can finally sleep at night now. Lol

Oh man I’m so pumped, i had all these suspicions of what it was but didn’t start digging in, i went with the *hears noise* *turns radio up and hope it’s not serious* method until i had time/money to really dig into what it was. I’ll get back to y’all when i pop these in and can confirm that’s what it was (fingers crossed). Muchos grassyass

This past weekend ended up being beautiful outside, so we loaded up the truck with bikes and hit some trails instead haha. I might give it a swing on saturday this upcoming weekend.
